EEG of tulpa activity

Just reposting from reddit

Apparently some guy in the tulpa general got his hands on one of these (an EEG headset) and used it to measure his brainwaves while conversing with his tulpa, while he was parroting his tulpa, and while he was not doing anything (no tulpa interaction). Here are his results.

He also said this:

"I've noticed now that the delta spikes happen instead when I'm the one thinking to her, whereas when she think to me, there is activity in the alpha, beta, and gamma areas.

Parroting looks very similar to when she is genuinely talking, except that there are delta spikes as well throughout it.

Basically, delta seems to signify host interaction."

This website, which gives an explanation of what different brainwave frequencies signify, was linked to as well.

**Edit:** His procedure when taking the readings:

"All I did was converse back and forth with her while observing the readings, and taking screenshots throughout.

I used the screenshots that best displayed the observed patterns."

Oh, that's cool. Although it doesn't prove anything, at least now we can check for more symptoms than before.

I mean, those of us that have these devices.

I remember the thread that the guy was asking if it was a good idea to buy this device and everyone was like "Don't do it, it won't prove anything" and I had to come in and say "Sure, buy it and report the results". Good thing he followed my advice.

I'm brazilian and my english is not really good, I'll do every mistake you imagine, but I'll try to avoid them.

I mentioned I find it odd the host's state reads as deep sleep/dreaming. It was brought up That people with ADD/ADHD have differences in brainwave activity compared to normal people.

Do we get raw data? What about reliability? Any time progression? Obviously not, because the one providing the result is an anonymous poster without any kind of verification or reliability.

And of course, all evidence we have in this forums is not anedoctal? I find it amusing that people actually think that if someone gives a report about his experiences, he doesn't needs to prove anything, but if he gives some actual technical data, he needs to do it scientifically.

This evidence is as good as any other we have.

Evidence of what? 'Tulpas'?

Accounts posted here are more reliable because they are tied to an identity. They can also be verified by others. I was more making the point that we aren't going to get any questions answered on this, as the OP is a repost of a repost of a post made by an anonymous user. Don't get me wrong, this stuff is great, but far greater care could be taken, while Mr. Progress Report is as good as he gets.

I think you underestimated the value of the data just a little bit when you sounded like it was not scientific or solid enough. I'm just saying that none of what we have is, so you are either overestimating the data we have or underestimating this, also, I'm pretty sure that the guy that did this test is a user from here, too. Don't know if he is an old time member though.

I just happen to take any info that isn't absurdly incompatible with the current belief model into account, not actually giving it any credit, just taking it into account when I'm considering a belief model of mine. That's why I don't take metaphysical stuff into account, or stuff that doesn't seems logical, but this on the other hand is what most would expect so I don't think it is absurd, enough for me to take into account when someone provides info that leads to another perspective of the tulpa phenomenom. But I get what you are saying, you would want more specific, technical and valuable info with such a device, and I would too, but unless we are doing the tests, we can't really complain that they aren't as good as we want them to be.

But of course, you could try talking to the guy.

The fact that our information here isn't 100% scientific or reliable isn't an excuse to not try and be as scientific and reliable as possible. And yeah you could *try* asking the guy, but again, the problem with that is, he's completely anonymous.

Furthermore, after some quick research about the headset and the company that made it, I really don't think it's reliable enough to take any of its results too seriously. I'd also like to see a better source of brain wave interpretations than a site trying to sell beat/tone CDs. In other words, interesting stuff, but it doesn't really mean anything significant. I'd still like to see a more sturdy look at brain activity accompanying tulpas.

Astral project on my face, brother!
