Is this tulpa related? anyone else got anymore info?

'So, a while ago while on.. well.. let's call it vacation,

I met a dude. He was extremely nice, very rich, and

slightly insane. I mean paranoid as hell. For all the

purposes of this post let's call him Tom. Anyways, this

Tom was scared out of his mind that "they"

(he never specified who he meant) were going

to find him and he'll 'never see the sun again"

(his words). I was suspecting either schizophrenia or

him pulling some sort of awesome robbery and he was

simply afraid of getting caught. It was explain his wealth at least.

Anyways, he was an interesting character to say at the

very least, but this is not really about him. He taught

me a kind of weird and cool meditation. It involved

imagining a garden and doing specific tasks inside of

that garden to accomplish different goals

(better focus, relaxation, etc).

I won't bore you guys with the details of this

meditation, but it involved expanding the garden

every time you meditated. Tom told me that if I

keep doing this meditation that one day I will be able

to do awesome things. I didn't really think much of it

though.'

It doesn't seem tulpa-related in any way.

Just seems like symbolic meditation.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

While creating a garden thoughtform is one of the most basic meditation practices in the starting steps of making a tulpa in the Tibetan tradition, it is not related to tulpas so much as a learning exercise along the way.

Indeed, it is the Tibetan and 'magical' belief that you can do more with a garden thoughtform over time. One well known application is a "Memory Palace" (Roman system of Loci) which can improve your memory, and a garden thoughtform can be the basis for such.

So, a system of teaching once associated with making tulpa, now fallen out of favor in tulpa making of the current century.
