Focus and Distractions
#1
Hi I'm new here (my native language is not english, hope you can understand me)
and I have some questions before taking serious on the personality and creation process.

For the personality process, I'm following the "100 traits" method from FAQ Man.
My real problem is the creation process. I can't really focus on something. I'm always thinking in future possible and impossible events, my internal voice, etc
About my internal voice, 2 years ago I began talking with myself
(what I mean is when I have to choose about something I discuss the different ways with different points of view)
Even when I don't want to think in anything something appear

Q1:
I began talking with Merry (Tulpa's future name) 2 days ago and I worry about if she begin talk to me how I can distinguish her voice from my internal voice?

Q2:
Is it a real problem if I not pronounce her name right ?
(Merry - Mery - Merrry )
English is not my native language

Don't worry about how you pronounce her name. She'll tell you if it bothers her, but it's probably fine.

As to whether you're hearing yourself or her, it can be very difficult to tell the difference sometimes. This is a pretty common problem.

If you're getting head pressures or headaches, see if you can get her to communicate with those. Ask her to move the pressure or the ache to a different place, or make it pulse. If she can do this, you can ask her yes/no questions, and she can answer through pressures and aches.

If that doesn't work, just assume it's her for now, or ask if it's her and see what the voice says.

Can you suggest me?
Should I find a pacific place (no external sounds) or can I listen to music while creation?

1. I'm still having the problem, and I think I'm doing alright. It takes a while for the issue to go away. What I like to do is focus a little harder and add something else to think about- I like to think of a typewriter and how it types up scripts for plays and movies, and I just pretend that all of the things we talk about are being typed up on a piece of yellowed paper. What I say goes on in black ink, what she said is red.

2. It'll be fine. I'm sure she'll understand how hard you're working on making it right, and she'll help you out whenever you're able to understand.

I listen to music all the time. Try not to use music with lyrics in it, you might get distracted.
I ask her all the time about what music she likes, and she usually answers whenever I can listen.

I like quiet or sometimes Fede's tones while forcing, but lots of people use music too. Do whatever works best for you. But yeah, I agree with Redline, music without lyrics is best.

Fede's tones are good. I personally like to www.mynoise.net . They have a lot of different soundscapes to suit your personal needs. You are also able to calibrate your sounds so you are getting the ultimate experience. Bud and I often listen to the jungle scape and go to far off places for adventures and what not.
