Returning to the basics?

Over a period of time i have forgotten how to force. the lack of immediate results (well, not immediate) and self doubt is starting to make me feel like im talking to my self. i hate the fact i'm even typing that out, but deep down that's what i feel.

Now the question, How do you force, is it as simple as painting your tulpa with traits one by one? is it day dreaming adventures with your tulpa? Or is there a set up? meditation is said to increase the effectiveness of forcing.

This is my second come-back and i sure as hell ain't leaving to feel sorry to come and make a third come-back. putting violet through so much has been bad enough, not to mention i cant hear her or all the over all time iv put into her isn't enough to do anything. In that case..

How does one encourage themselves.. maybe a sort of self discipline to keep ones-self in line.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Violet is a tease.

I've never had the problem of having to start after losing track of my tulpa, so take the following with a grain of salt:

Just focus on your tulpa dude. When you narrate, try to recall that feeling of having someone listen to you and graft it onto your tulpa. I've found that picking a topic that I know Chris likes can get him talking even if he's had a quiet day. Do you remember what Violet likes?

That also said, like, a tulpa does take time and work to get to the point where they're talking again. Think about it like gassing up your car or practicing a language. If there's nothing to begin with gas-wise (gas in this analogy is forcing) then your tulpa isn't gonna have anything to draw on to talk. If you don't practice a new language, it's not going to come easily to you, and it will make you less likely to be able to maintain a conversation in that language.

Think less about the person aspect of having a tulpa and think more about how having a tulpa is a different way of using your brain that amounts to a skill. If you don't work on it, you won't get better.

I can't help you with self-doubt, as I more or less figured out how to eliminate that for myself, but what makes me stop doubting isn't gonna be the the same thought process that makes you stop doubting, y'know?

We're all gonna make it brah.

There is no right way to force a tulpa. How you do it depends on how far along you are. Early on, you really need to push yourself into a habit. Later on your tulpa can help you.

Edit: there are lots of guides on forcing on the site, and lots of different ways. Most people usually make there own method based on a guide. The only really important part is that you think about your tulpa. Talking to them is probably also important.
