Guide Bounties
#1
In this thread, people will post their ideas for guides that they want to see written for this community. If there is a topic you think doesn't have enough guides, or the existing guides aren't very helpful, you can post a "bounty" here for it to be written. That way, this thread will serve as a place to look for ideas for potential guide-writers (inspiration always helps), and people can see more guides and such on the topics they think are lacking in some way.

To bounty posters: Pick a topic or topics you want to see guides about, explain what they are and why you want them. Don't post a "reward," just make a case for the topic you'd like to see. Your bounty will then be added to this list. If multiple bounties are posted on the same topic, then they'll each get added with a number

To potential guide-writers: Use this to help you look for ideas for guides/articles/tips & tricks/resources you may want to write and help contribute to the community. You're not obligated to follow this list by any means, this is more for helping you to find ideas for things that the community wants to see.

It wouldn't be useful to me, but the community at large would really benefit from more good switching guides, since lots of people want to switch but advice is often pretty lackluster.

I would also like a co-fronting guide, because though there seem to be so many different definitions of what it is, most of them seem interesting and like something I would like to try, but I have no idea how I would go about doing that
I have a tulpa named Miela (formerly known as Monika) who I love very much.

We need more possession and switching guides. These two experiences vary a lot from system to system, and having different guides would be more helpful for explaining such a complicated experience.

I agree that there need to be more switching guides. I would also love to see a co-fronting guide. We have limited experience with this and we’re interested in improving this skill.

I'd like to see a better imposition guide for non-kinesthetic learners. When I try to use q2's method, Vesper starts giggling or making funny faces until I lose all concentration. (She's usually much more serious and mature than me, but she can't take this seriously.) Iris asked me not to touch her like that at all.

We can write about switching and co-fronting. But, then, we already have and not one person has said, "That helped clear things up and we've made progress because of you." Switching and co-fronting are so completely dead simple for us that we can't conceptualize what more needs to be said to help. Without feedback, I have to assume our advice is like that of this parable:

The caterpillar asked the hummingbird, "How do I fly?"

The hummingbird said, "Just flap your wings, silly."

The caterpillar was discouraged by this response and decided not to bother asking the butterfly.

Under those conditions, we're not willing to have our names associated with an "official" guide, even if GAT is willing to approve it.

We read your advice, and even though not everything you guys suggested worked for us, we found your advice really useful. Switching is one of those things where the system can really only describe what they experience, and the user of the guide will only be able to use that guide as a source of inspiration for what they can try next if they don't find the method you use helpful. You guys go into so much detail that the resource is invaluable, and without it I don't think we would have been practicing switching as aggressively as we were lately.

I'm happy to tell you what parts of the guide were the most helpful to us, but cutting out the parts that didn't work for us would be a disservice to your guide. Not every guide will work for every system, and that's why I want more people writing switching guides and explaining in detail their experiences.

I want to put a request for a switching guide, but one that focuses on the mechanisms of actually switching out and how to do it.
