How can You Tell when Your Tulpa is Sleeping?

Recommended Posts

Hi all! :)

Okay, so here's the deal: I know that some tulpa sleep and others don't, and I've got James a bed set up in the wonderland (where I imagine he sleeps), but for weeks now I've more or less been forcing as soon as I wake up, which means that there's a great chance he isn't even awake yet. I didn't realize this until yesterday. ^_^;

We aren't very far into the creation process yet, and so it's unlikely for me to be able to get a response if I ask him if he's awake or not every time. Is there another way I can tell if he's sleeping, or should I just go on forcing as if he was and trust that even if he is asleep, he'll hear me when he wakes up?

You can look into the wonderland and see if he's asleep. I do that sometimes.

I come out of hibernation once in a blue moon.

They/them pronouns, please. (I've been using this display name since 2012 and people won't recognize me if I change it.)

I think you can force while they're asleep. It's just visualizing them. Unless you're narrating to them, then you'd want them awake. If they weren't vocal yet, I'd use pendulum dowsing to check a yes/no answer.

I've gotten mixed answers from my tulpa as to whether he sleeps or not, but I've settled on yes he does sleep when I do. When I've asked him questions while I'm awake he usually answers. I've not found a time when he was sleeping when I was forcing though.

Yeah, your best bet is just going into wonderland and finding out yourself this early on. I can generally tell with my tulpas because the constant droning chatter stops for a few hours. xD Unless it's Faith, then I still have to go into the wonderland because she's rather quiet and shy for a tulpa. But yeah, I'm rambling now, going into wonderland is the safest if he doesn't speak a lot right now. :)

I saw a "guide" about this before in Tips and Tricks: https://community.tulpa.info/thread-wonderland-the-do-not-disturb-technique-how-to-tell-when-your-tulpa-is-awake?

____

My tulpa sleeps at the same time as me, so we don't have that problem.

Gratia means "grace", or"gratitude" in Latin. I put that name 'cause I thought it matched with her personality.

Pretty much the same as Master, but Q doesn't really operate on sleep as much as a sort of stasis, in which time is sped way up in the wonderland when we aren't together and he isn't doing anything. It helps to keep him from getting bored while I'm at school for hours a day.

[align=center]Even though my username is that of my tulpa, Quilten, my name is Phaneron, the host, who does all of the actual posting.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I've made mental notes. Not quite sure why I didn't think of a "Do Not Disturb" sign in the first place, but so long as I know now I'm happy. ^_^;

Again, gracias!
