SadCrab July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 Seems like a lot of newbies (including) me are worrying too much. Seeing as how several different approaches have been proven to work, maybe it's actually fairly easy to create a tulpa, it just takes effort? NesterBones July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 In my opinion, it takes quite a bit of effort, but that doesn't mean the time it takes has to be a large span. If you do like me, constantly working with them every waking moment of the day, putting your heart and soul into creation and believing in your tulpae, you can start to see progress early on. I'm by no means a pro at the brain or any kind of genius, it's just how i'm going about doing this (which i don't entirely recommend doing it my way because i'm starting to feel adverse effects). I think if anyone puts enough time and effort and belief into their tulpa, they should have nothing to worry about. MuonMax July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 ^This. As long as you know what you're doing and stick to it you shouldn't have any problems. Unless you yourself have serious psychological issues, but that's to be expected.
Pleeb July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 You kind of answered your own question. It's quite hard to break a tulpa, and the only real way to mess up its creation is to stop. Spoiler An image in a signature behind a hidden tag!
Guest July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 Nester: Yeah. Until recently, I've always been going about the "force specific hours a day and then just narrate a little bit here and there" logic, which I've deemed redundant and have found developing a method of "force a little bit constantly" to be better, since with last mentioned, you're telling yourself that it constantly exists, while with the previous, your brain goes into a state of "okay, gonna meet my tupper in my head, then we'll see each other tommorow", which likely just lengthens the process. NesterBones July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 Exactly. It just seems to make more sense to constantly work with your tulpa than to kinda turn it on and off for x hours. My ramblings and that Host: Rob Tulpa: Kaylee
corytrevor July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 If I am understanding things correctly and not mistaken, Nester has 2 talking sentient tulpae within a week, because he worked harder then everybody else?
NesterBones July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 If I am understanding things correctly and not mistaken, Nester has 2 talking sentient tulpae within a week, because he worked harder then everybody else? kass was sort of there for a while and i think being so active creating espeon gave her what she needed to essentially bring herself into existence. yes i believe my way of doing it helped immensly with the progress espeon made from the start but no i don't like to think i worked any harder than anyone else here. i just worked constantly and still do. kass made a lot of progress due to both espeon and i working with her, but when she "appeared" or whatever, she already had a form, personality, and ability to communicate through emotional responses. i'm still not even 100% sure how kass works. that's all just theories espeon and i have come up with. espeon and kass became fluently speaking on a mental level only after hours upon hours of work and narration and generally treating them as though they were already there. there's still a long road ahead of us as far as imposition and audible speaking. Virgil July 2, 2012 Share July 2, 2012 If I am understanding things correctly and not mistaken, Nester has 2 talking sentient tulpae within a week, because he worked harder then everybody else? It's likely, but it's not the sole reason, in my opinion. I believe there are several other factors, some even more significant. By the way, don't forget that the claim that anyone can make a tulpa is still subject to doubt. Bayesian inference
