Guest June 24, 2012 Share June 24, 2012 I'd like to have a poll/questionnaire about everyone's sensory imagination (this is meant to encompass all 5 senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch), but need not be limited to them), their progress (or lack of) with regards to tulpa making and how long does it take to train one's imagination of each sense. For each sense, I'd like you to rate how vivid your imagination of that sense is in comparison to the sense as experienced in the real world, a rating of 0.0 would mean no development or complete lack of imagination of said sense (or lack of the real sense as well, mention if so), 1.0 would mean the imagined sense is as real as the external (non-imaginary) sense, and 0.25 would mean that the sense is quite faded and unreal compared to the real sense, anything above 1 would mean that imagination feels more intense/real than the external senses (and by how much). If the values varied with regards to your own training, meditation, tulpaforcing, visualization or imposing sessions, feel free to make it a graph or rate it given each stage and the amount of effort and time spent and what was done to elicit the change. For some people it may be a skill they've kept sharpened throughout their lifes or if it's something they've started training recently, all these details matter. Please also mention if you have a sentient or vocal or imposed (or anything inbetween) tulpa and how many hours you've been working on. If you haven't mentioned it before, consider at least listing the scores/ratings for your imagination before and after you've started the tulpaforcing process. You may also give more data samples where needed (for example, if your visual imagination was at a 0.3 during vocal stage and 0.8 after imposition was completed, or if auditory imagination was at 0.1 during sentience and 0.5 when vocal; in the case of such great changes, I'd be very interested to know what you've done to raise the score so much). My main goal is to see if there are any correlations between how vivid/complete one's imagination is and a tulpa's development. If you have any links to guides to help train your imagination (not just the visual one), I'd like to see them. As a personal note, my visual imagination has improved from about a 0.2 to a 0.4, sometimes 0.6 or even higher depending on mental state (if you can ignore your external senses, your imagination will be sensed more vividly, such as in lucid dreams or hypnagogic or trance states), but while awake, I don't think my auditory imagination has improved any more than from 0.1 to a meager 0.15 at best, which is something I find personally annoying (can't even do Devano's THE VOICE tutorial). If you feel it's appropriate, you can also include the scores depending on the mental state one is in, although by default the values should be for when one is awake and when one is in a very light trance. Links to scientific studies that study the rate of development of one's imagination would also be interesting to read, if you can find any. glitchthe3rd June 24, 2012 Share June 24, 2012 I think this topic should be in Research, maybe. "Science isn't about why, science is about why not?" -Cave Johnson Tulpae: Luna, Elise, Naomi My progress report
Guest June 24, 2012 Share June 24, 2012 It was a poll, which is why I posted it in Q&A. If I would have asked for exercises to better develop one's imagination without asking for data from other members, would that have belonged in Q&A?
