Imposing Senses

Is sight the first sense that on imposes their tulpa on? Which sense typically comes first and last? What about sense of smell? To me smell is very important and I want to be able to see and smell my tulpa. I also want to touch his fur.

Yes, sight is usually what comes first in the imposition process. I'd say that smell/taste generally come after touch which is usually after hearing. This is just from what I know of other people's experiences, so don't take my word on it. Hope I could answer your question.

Sight or sound are goo to start with but you NEED to slow down!!!!! You've only been at this a few days if you try to impose now you're going to have problems. You need to get his orm down in your mind 110% before you can start imposition and he needs to be sentient first.

SLOW DOWN!!!! Take it one step at a time or you're going to exhaust yourself and your tulpa.

Once he is sentient and fully developed then yes smell and sound are the easiest senses to impose. Sound came first for me.

I had no plans to start imposing now. That would be crazy. He isn't sentient yet from what I can tell.

I understand I need to know his form really well first, and his form keeps changing so I don't have it down yet.

Thanks for the advice amber.

I guess maybe I asked too advanced of a question.

Amber, do you hear him speaking "out there", or is it more mindvoice?

Presence imposition kind of comes before actual sensory imposition, IMO. You have to begin with developing that sense of just "knowing" where your tulpa is in relation to you. After that I think you would move on to visualizing your tulpa in the physical world using open eye visualization. Once that becomes like second nature I think it would be time to start working on imposing the senses.

That's just my thought though, I've got a long way to go on open eye visualization.

I'm pretty good at open eye visualization. I can see Chance lying down at the beach as I type this. But I can only see him in the one pose. If I change poses, his form changes. I can only visualize him in pieces, like paw, or ears, or legs consistently.

Once he becomes sentient it will be easier to visualize him. Well easier as harder if that makes sense, he'll be helping but at the same time you will have to re learn a few things.

It's not that you asked to advanced of a question, questions are always welcome but you have been spamming the boards which again is not bad but it shows that you might be a tad on the eager side. Again not bad but this is a slow(ish) process and it's goin to take some time.

Sakura has some great advice up there I would listen to her. That's pretty much how it happened for me and Toby and I are on the open eye visualization stage of things at the moment.

To answer your question I can hear Toby as a mind voice. Sometimes, and I have to be really concentraiting but sometimes I can hear him outside of the mind. It doesn't happen often but well get the hang of it eventually I'm sure.

Also his form may become stronger and more concrete when he becomes sentient. Try focusing more on narration and asking him basic questions for a little bit, see if you can spark his consciousness. Maybe once he's "awake" he can help you with the form issues,

I told my friend about tulpas. I hope he's interested so we can hold each other accountable. I used to be scared of how my tulpa would turn out, but I realize that it's up to me consciously how he turns out, so I don't worry now. I'm just having fun visualizing. When I walk, I visualize. Sometimes I pretend I'm holding his hand, but I don't press for imposing yet.
