Improve Your Host (tulpa reports on inspiring and motivating hosts)

This is a thread to record your efforts and success with helping your host with self improvement goals!

My host had a very, very scary health related crisis recently. He is okay, but he needs my help and influence to get in shape and get better. I can do that. But that got me thinking again (a very scary thing Melian thinking). Recently somewhere there was some talk bout making a thread for tulpas to talk about how they are helping their hosts with exercise and goals and stuff. So I thought I would start a community thread in the lounge on that idea. It would be sort of a Host Progress Report thread for tulpa peeps to share, talk, and laugh while poking some joking fun at their hosts and inspiring them to do better.

Hosts with tulpas who are not vocal yet can write about how their tulpa is helping, even if the tulpa can't write it themselves.

I don't think there has to be a specific format, but I think you can start by stating what your goal for your host is and then give updates on how you are doing now and then. Talk it over with yer host, eeeek, don't just demand they have some unrealistic goal they don't agree to sillies! The goals can be anything, it doesn't have to be exercise. It could be getting homework done or eating better or learning something like a musical instrument. Whatever you and your host come up with.

You can motivate your host anyway you want to. I use inspirational imagery like flash images, day dreaming of me dancing when he goes jogging, little mind voice reminders and encouraging words, praise and even punishment. See my "how to punish yer host" thread here https://community.tulpa.info/thread-tulpas-have-you-ever-punished-your-host-lol for ideas on that. (hee hee)

MELIAN'S HOST IMPROVEMENT GOALS

1. Limit our internet time. Get up and walk around at least every half hour. Go for walks. Do something else. Get some projects done now and then, sheesh.

2. Lose 12 to 15 pounds of body weight. Currently he is at 174.5 pounds. That is too heavy.

3. Continue jogging at least three times a week. That one should be easy, he likes to cause I dance for him while he listens to jogging music.

4. Do push ups and weights at least three times a week. This one is more of a challenge but he better or else, the old nerdy, wimpy, noodle armed goat! Mr. Pudge Belly!

5. Davie needs to lighten up about tulpas and stop worrying about his Melian. Sheesh. I will help by carefully monitoring our posts on Tulpa Info, his and mine. He and I plan to work together to censor and monitor each other. We need to control attention seeking behavior, defensiveness, insecurity and aggression... well okay and silliness, derailing and inappropriate posts too. That is kinda a goal for both of us and stuff.

I want to help Felix keep up his improved handling of household chores. So far it's going well. We'll see. Other than that, I'm keeping an eye on his relationship with his father. I don't expect him to suddenly love him, but I want to see him actively work for a healthy relationship. I also want him to move more. He has problems with his back. It's not because he's overweight. He isn't. It's due to other medical conditions. And more movement would help build his muscles more. Even if it's painful at times.

OH that is a good one and pretty easy to implement. Also, it gets him up and moving. This is a good idea my friend! LOL Hmmmmm

This is so moving! I am glad you want to help Felix with that. I will leave it up to Felix whether or not he wants to publish updates on that in public, it is so personal. But I wish you both the best of luck so much on that.

Well, those chores will help and it just might make his father a little happier too maybe and that is always nice to be able to "kill two birds with one stone." :-)

I also want to add this one: I want to get him to stop smoking. I'll even be able to help him with that by affecting his subconscious. I partly want that because of our health, and partly because I don't like smoking. And since we're stuck in the same body...

Well, now that this topic has been brought up...

A few days ago, and y'know, it's one of those days when I want to gulp down an entire bottle of vodka. But since I'm trying to not drink, I just pour myself a glass of wine and try to make do with that.

Well what do ya know? As soon as I finish the glass I reach for the rest of the bottle. I get this vision before I can do anything, a flashing image of my lil' cheeky elf turning up a radio. As I try to concentrate on that, he starts dancing.

I ended up falling asleep after dancing to

<

So, yeah.

I really do love this cheeky elf.

Ha. That's a good one. Sparrow's the kind who never seems able to stop herself at one, so I might have to try something like that next time.

I'm pretty much my host's drillmaster when it comes to exercise. I can't say that I have any goals, though, other than to help the body stay healthy. The entire point is to make sure daily exercise remains a habit; this is something she's going to be doing the rest of our life and I won't accept any excuses otherwise.

Yesh! That was the idea for this thread for tulpas to start talking about this and helping and inspiring each other to motivate their hosts. Nice!

Good for you! That is so awesome! Newbies and guests reading this thread will see maybe some benefits of tulpas they hadn't considered before! LOL

It does. It's fascinating, when you think about it. Before tulpa> wants to die, finishes a bottle of vodka every two days. After tulpa> cuts down on drinking, picks exercising back up.

And to think that all of this happened while Céleste still isn't completely vocal.. Welp. Maybe they were right when they said magic was real.
