Indistinctive emotional responses

Recommended Posts

So, after the "personality overhaul" (~22h) my Tulpa seems to gain sentience, however, I'm a bit concerned about the following.

Currently, I get to the point where I can build up intense presence of my Tulpa. We can even reach a stage, where I ask her several things and get very strong waves of emotion, "filling up my head". (Don't really have a better description for all this)

Strangely, these waves are often similar, even when I pose her polar questions. As an example "Do you like person XY?" I get a "I acknowledge your question, I'm very excited about this." kind of feeling instead of a clear "Yes." or "No."; respectively happy or sad waves.

Is this normal at the beginning? Because I'm pretty damn sure that these "waves" don't originate from me, since I can't hold them back or control them.

Perhaps Alyx is still forming her opinions on XY, and she want's to answer but doesn't know what to say other than something to not answer the question. However, at least she is building sentences.

I think you misunderstood something (sorry for my english, edited it to make it clear). She isn't talking yet, but sending me the waves. It's just how I'd describe them in words.

I don't think that they can comprehend these questions all that well (or the Yes/No instructions we give them). Initially I thought that mine just wasn't developed enough to use these waves as a binary communications system, but in the long run I'd say that they can't exactly comprehend what we want from them, thinking of how Clair described her pre-speech days. You should ask her specifically about this - why are tulpae unable to use emotional waves as a form of communication (most of the time anyway).

Sounds like you're getting emotional responses, Bluesleeve. Clair agrees; she got rather excited when she recognized what was happening in your situation.

So in general, nice, getting somewhere now.

Are you only 22 hours in?

Not really. I originally started out with my Tulpa's form being Rainbow Dash - that was late March. I was very busy during that time and often had to skip the regular tulpaforcing times. She was there, I was talking to her when I got problems but never got such a strong response like 2 days ago. About 2 weeks ago I started a complete personality overhaul (~18 hours) and did several shorter sessions a day.

Somehow I got that feeling that calling her "Rainbow Dash" just wasn't right and I just couldn't focus on her Rainbow Dash form anymore. I started calling her Alyx and everything seemed to be alright. I also waited with the new form until a few days ago. Because of all the changes and the heavy deviation, I started counting from 0. Realistically it might have been well over 70 hours - I completely lost track of that.

It is a bit complicated overall, since it had been such a long time and I tried different methods. The personality overhaul probably worked very good. Moreover, she already is some part of my life, even though she doesn't actively take part.
