Lulu May 16, 2012 Share May 16, 2012 I found another good reason to make a tulpa. Read this: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2009/03/30/090330fa_fact_gawande Those poor soul probably would've been better off if they knew how to make tulpas. Guest May 16, 2012 Share May 16, 2012 Probably. Very interesting article. Thanks for sharing. Should've put it in off-topic, though.
Sheep LI May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 Ah, yes. I am familiar with the studies of Professor Harlow. That article though . . wow. It's disturbing thinking about what it would be like to be TRULY alone. It's a good thing I'm here with all of you to make friends and a special friend *coughtulpacough* I want to make a tulpa. That's why I'm here. Tulpa Name: Shai, ✓Personality, ✓Visualization, ✓Touch, ✓Smell, Body Language and Sentience ❑
bila bila May 18, 2012 Share May 18, 2012 Well, I always liked my own company. Then again, I've never been in solitary confinement so I don't know what it's really like.
Guest Anonymous May 19, 2012 Share May 19, 2012 I wonder if they could somehow tell people about that in prison. I know that the next time Irish_ sends a letter with a dick on it his granpopa will surely lock him up. Perhaps he'll tell people about this. knux3k May 20, 2012 Share May 20, 2012 I believe they should tell people stuck in social isolation about tulpae, so that at least they have a companion of a sort.
Charlotte May 20, 2012 Share May 20, 2012 >UK makes amazing prison system >US is still being ignorant soulless ape-men and just sticking people in closets Another one for the "Why the US is shit" list. A bunch of bakas. This hot empty painting should be locked and towed.

I don't see prison authorities or any authorities for that matter being enthusiastic about teaching convicted criminals how to have both visual and auditory hallucinations. Guest May 20, 2012 Share May 20, 2012 I don't see prison authorities or any authorities for that matter being enthusiastic about teaching convicted criminals how to have both visual and auditory hallucinations. Their goal isn't to stop crimes, but to punish criminals. It's a stupid system which focuses on a generalization of revenge as opposed to actually stopping bad things from happening. How I dislike the human race at times like this.
Gray May 20, 2012 Share May 20, 2012 There is nothing wrong with punishing criminals, they have harmed others so it is only just that they themselves should be harmed. Now trying to rehabilitate them in addition to executing a just punishment is a worthy cause but rehabilitation should not stand in the way of just punishment.
