It hasn't been long enough for anyone to complete a tulpa yet. Don't get discouraged, because if you don't think it's possible then it won't be possible. This is a venture of mind over matter. If it helps, my forte is psychology and this whole thing is pretty psychologically sound. I mean, all it is is re-wiring your brain to see a form with a personality. How is that impossible?

Now, that said, come back to us in 2 months with the same thread and we'll have something to talk about.

Hi Hihocheerio,

This forum is only about a month old, and the community is only afew months old.

The people who started creating tulpæ right after the community started (between Feb to March?) which, off the top of my head include Rhyme, ThatOneGuy, Glitch, Devano, ImLuc, QB2, JD1215, Lyranon, [formally] Jake) have completely sapient tulpæ that you can have coherent conversations with if you want to; I'm hearing some other members speak about their tulpa's sapience as well, though I can't recall them off the top of my head.

These guys were pretty much the ones that started out when the community was still small and stuck with it through the months to this point; others that were starting to attempt this (and you can check the graveyard of tumblrs, from before tulpa.info was started) gave up after a few weeks; I'm sure if they stuck with this for the months that the above members did, they would end up with the same results.

However, tulpa.info was started in late March, and the forums were started in early May. Tulpaforcing is generally takes more than a month (though I've seen cases of sapience in a week for certain people, esp those with active imaginations or autism), so it's certainly safe to say most newcomers coming to a month-old community to start a process that takes longer than a month isn't going to have completed that process.

Check this forum at the end of the summer or in the fall; there's a good chance that the members who started when the first forums first opened (including myself) will have sapient tulpæ.

EDIT: AND, Phi beat me to it.

this whole tulpa stuff started in february, couple this with the long-ass time it takes to make one UNLESS YOU HAVE MENTAL PROBLEMS, and also, the lack of discipline of many (including me), it comes as no surprise there arent many people with finished tulpae here.

Guess what, to create an autonomous split of your subconscious, you need this little thing called IMAGINATION. That alone is going to create some variance in the time it takes different people to finish a tulpa. Also a handful of us (myself included) have been doing this since before we even knew tulpaforcing was the name for it, so we're hardly the model tulpaforcers due to that alone, and despite our past endeavors.

I dunno. To me the real imbalance isnt so much between being 'done' its between vocalization and nothing at all. Of those months old tumblers mentioned 5 of the 9 on louderthenthunder are still active and none have a talking tulpa. They seem to barely get emotional responses. Over on the dropbox page I believe they have a link to a single tumbler which claims to have a vocal tulpa.

You can also be sure that, there are probably no people faking a lack of progress, and very likely a few who are faking great progress.

Like everything in life Im sure everybody goes at a different speed, but there are plenty of people who have been at this since atleast march with essentially no progress.

It is interesting to see so many experts who have only ever heard of this for 4 months. Like most things, it is entirely possible that some people will be literally incapable to make/host a tulpa regardless of their efforts.

Forgot to mention, if you are having doubts before you even start, then it is fairly unlikely that you will have the momentum to carry on weeks or months from now

If you carefully read what everypony writes about their progress, you will be terrified by the amount of procrastination and lack of dedication. Tulpaforcing requires REGULAIR work on your tulpa. And by no ways you should ever break promises to yourself - this creates contradiction between consciousness and subconsciousness. Your consciousness says "Ill do it today!", but subconsciousness waits and never receives what you promised. Guess what? The link of trust between your consciousness and subconsciousness weakens because of your poor attitude. And how the buck are you going to make your subconsciousness believe there is a pony standing near you, if you can't even keep simple promise? Thats just how our subconsciousness works. If you regularly repeat something to it and back up what you want your subconsciousness to believe with your deeds - someday subconsciousness makes it true. Simple as it is, but keeping your promises isn't simple for humans.
