Metaphysical forum

Can we split these threads off into their own forum? I (and many others) came here for science, and am getting tired of every second thread being "Oh hai, I've come up with an idea to use psychic powers to do X and Y. What do you guise think?"

I'm not looking at anyone in particular, and I've no problem with you having a go, it's your life. But can we seperate the two different outlooks into different forums? It's not science. If you try it, and get a positive result, then sure, call it science and let other people try it too.

But if you have no grounds for any kind of evidence to support you in any way, keep it away from the science.

Rant over.

How about just a new tag named something like [METAPHYSICAL] or [iNANEBULLSHIT]?

How about all the metaphysical dumbfucks just stay away to begin with?

Actually, today I was thinking about this very thing: having a second board just for the metaphysical and parapsychological school of thought. Matter of fact, I was planning on bouncing the idea off a few people today. It's certainly a question of: "Should topics like 'Manifestation' be in 'General Discussion' or a 'Metaphysical and Parapsychology' board?"

Technically the description of the site says: Tulpa.Info is the leading resource for a psychological approach to the Tulpae Phenomenon.

This does suggest a purely scientific approach, but as I've said before, I'm not up for openly rejecting others and their beliefs (even if I think some of those beliefs are pure bullshit).

I could do a few things, here.

The first would be to use Bin's idea, and throw in the "[METAPHYSICAL]" tag, but that still keeps it in the main line and their topics would still be tweeted. Imagine a topic in General Discussion saying "[METAPHYSICAL]Let us astral project with our tulpae" being tweeted to every one of our followers. Regardless if I believe these discussions should be allowed the time of day, there are a lot of people who don't, and may be turned away from tulpae by seeing such topics, especially if they're hesitantly coming around after being pitched the "This is not magic" argument.

The second thing would be to create a "Metaphysical & Parapsychology" forum. Discussions, experiments, research, guides, basically anything relating to that subject would be in that board, and anything deemed too "extreme" for the psychological school of thought on tulpae will be moved to that board. Topics in there will not be tweeted, and those who don't come here to see metaphysical or parapsychological discussion can simply stay out of that board.

We could maybe create a board in the "Metaphysical and Parapsychology" category (like Off-topic has its own category), and have it between "Tulpae" and "Off-topic."

How about all the metaphysical dumbfucks just stay away to begin with?

You and I both know this isn't going to happen with anything short of banning or abusing users who come here with that school of thought.

New board sounds good Pleeb.

And I'm sure Fede has no complaints about banning and abusing such users.

I wasn't implying that I'd kick or ban them. I'd simply flame them prove them wrong until they'd leave.

The problem is that those who claim or pretend to be scientific here are no more than "magic folks" with scientific terms(they don't understand) as Bin said in one of the latest threads. I can count maybe 4-5 people who stay calm and scientific instead of turning into peasants with pitchforks and torchlights screaming "SCIENCE!! BURN DA HERETICS!!!" I am sure the rest of community hardly knows anything about science, scientific method or desires to know more about it. Tulpaforcing in the first place is not a science but a practical implementation of what science gave us. The problem is ... now we have nothing scientific here. At all. If you desire science - search somewhere else. Maybe where scientists gather and talk about science? I see very-very few people(4-5 out of 459) trying to improve situation.

Well, I am glad Pleeb was fast enough to end the issue for now. Good work, Pleeb.

While the forum is not very scientific, but rather psychological for the most part, it is aimed at a scientific perspective. It's just fact that no one here has enough dosh to buy all the expensive equipment to do tests decent enough to be claimed as "scientific," in which case we end up having faggots like you saying that this isn't scientific.
