Subconscious Tulpa

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if I could have my subconscious as my tulpa, by skipping personality and having my subconscious, please tell me if this makes sense or if it's possible. thanks

I'm a little confused... are you just trying to make one with a duplicate personality of yourself? Even if you do that it will likely deviate. It could also become confusing for both of you identity-wise, I would think.

I think he just wants to be able to communicate directly with his subconscious. Am I right?

I personally thought or think that tulpas are sort of already your subconciouse mind or at least very closely connected with it anyway. Everyone has their own interpretation but I don't see why you can't do this. I would be prepared for the possibility that even with the best intentions your tulpa may deviate and develope personality traits that are unique to it.

The beauty of a tulpa is that if done right it's a separate consciousness that you dont control.

On another note maybe it's not a tulpa you're looking for. Or maybe you can achieve what you want. The only way to know is to try.

There are a few people who have done this, or at least attempted it. maverickthecat is the first to spring to mind, but he's not a good example. If you want to go through with it, I suggest you read this. It's probably more helpful than anything you'd find in this community. There was also an article about doing this on psipog, back when that existed.

Sounds like you might be trying to make a daemon, but I could be guessing wrong. A daemon is a thoughtform very similar to a tulpa in many ways. You might want to look at a daemon community for more info. If a tulpa is what you are going for, it is certainly possible to make a daemon and turn that into a tulpa, much like converting a servitor to a tulpa. My natural tulpas blurred the lines between daemons and tulpas in many ways until recently when they have been developing along a tulpa direction.

Yeh that would be great!!

But i also want a tulpa aswell? Doesn't really matter, but i want it to have its own personality, like it chooses is that possible?

Thanks for all the replies, but im a bit worried on making one now.

1.) I don't want to start making one and then just stop because it would kill it.

2.) Also can they hurt me in anyway because i dont want it to start controlling me when i don't want it to etc.

How long would it take if i did start?

While possession is a thing tulpas can do, with practice, in general they can't do so against your will, it needs to be something both of you decide on. As for hurting you, not really, I should think.

It varies from tulpa to tulpa and person to person, I think.

Many tulpas have been made with no personality forcing or templating at all, meaning their personality develops completely naturally. And there is always in between where very little is done. That is what I did with A. Gave only a very small number of initial traits and left the rest for natural development.

1.) I don't want to start making one and then just stop because it would kill it.

Make sure you have the time to make and raise a tulpa as well as make sure you are good enough at commitments to know you can do it. Then, that will not happen. Also, remember, your tulpas will be with you for life. Even if you have thought about it a ton, it is worth thinking about a lot more.

2.) Also can they hurt me in anyway because i dont want it to start controlling me when i don't want it to etc.

Yes, but you will not get a malicious tulpa as long as you treat them right, don't neglect them, and respect them as a person. The process of making a tulpa tends to form a strong bond, so things are situated from the beginning for a good relationship as long as you do your part. With enough time and development, a tulpa can most definitely become as strong or stronger than the host; but that is a very unlikely thing to happen unless you get along and trust each other, so that isn't really the issue that many think it is.

Well, just like a host's development never stops till the death of the body, the same goes for a tulpa. Both of you will develop all the way to the end. Now, what you were probably asking is how long does it take for a tulpa to get to X stage of development or be able to do Y or something like that. Well, that is highly variable. If we take, for example, how long does it take before a tulpa can talk to you in mindvoice; the time varies from as little as a few hours to over a year. Again, if you make a tulpa, you are in for the long haul so there is plenty of time.
