Tulpa seems to have duplicated

Yes, kinda like the title says. We're pretty new to tulpamancy.

Started out with her being absent from me a whole day. She came back in a different form the next morning and it honestly freaked me out a bit.

Then accepted it was her and continued on with my day.

Got home, everything was still normal, except her form was different but I learned to accept it.

We began forcing, she changed form back and for some reason, the new form she adapted but abandoned was already sentient without me realizing it at first.

I wrote more in my journal/diary but for anyone who haven't read it, this should be enough to get a simple understanding.

Question is basically; what in the world is going on?

How could I see this in a optimistic manner?

Kudos in advance and hope the answers I get can help others!

Congratulations!

We all presented ourselves on the same day, and you could say we were already there, so our host didn't really have a choice. So one of the first things he did was to add the rule: "no more tulpas." If we didn't have that, trust me, we would be a broken system right now. He has dozens of viable thoughtforms that would make good tulpa candidates.

You need to actually accept a tulpa for them to develop, and sentience can be faked by the subconsious mind. We have several that are as good as sentient, but they're just really advanced characters unless we accept them.

Two should be fine, but it will make things twice as hard. Good luck in any case!

basically deviation and you thinking they're two different people when it should probably just be one, if you don't specifically want another tulpa I would really not think of her as two. your mind plays lots of tricks and kinda subconsciously experiments with stuff when you're first making a tulpa, and if you don't want to end up with a bunch outta nowhere you need to put your foot down and say "This is how it is, and this is how it isn't"

basic rule of deviation (tulpas randomly seeming to change stuff early on) is you should keep things as you want them until your tulpa is very sentient/vocal and can say for sure if they want to change something. but stuff just appearing different all of a sudden (not premeditated) is usually your mind just doing random stuff you don't have to accept

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal!

A lot of what happens during the creation process is determined purely by belief. If you come across anything abnormal, it's probably a good idea to ignore it and continue working on what you're used to, and if the abnormality persists it's just a personal decision as to whether or not you want to pursue a second tulpa based on that (which I wouldn't recommend seeing as you're new). Intrusive thoughts are a regular thing and plenty of people misinterpret those as being something bigger when it can easily be ignored - "walk-ins" are really nothing more than that.

Thanks for the advices!

I'll talk to her when she gets more vocal. In the mean time, I'll just try to solely focus on my one tulpa, Matsuri and no one else.

It's a solely a battle of willpower at this point. It takes 'intent' for a tulpa to fully gel, otherwise they're just an NPC. Many of my characters could have fooled me early on, by not knowing any better i could have promoted a dozen thoughtforms easily. Three is really a hard limit for us, i struggled to maintain even them for a long time, we're happy now, but it takes everything i have to keep them (and thereby myself) happy. Yeah, i'd like the idea of having two more of my thoughtforms join us, but that's really irresponsible and self destructive. Thankfully we work on consensus, so i know we would never change the "no new tulpas" rule.
