Tulpa Sentience and Insight Meditation

Hello, I am new to tulpas, but having found this practice has interested me and I wish to bring to the community something worthwhile.

I want to express the benefits of insight meditation, or Vipassana, and why it may be useful to try it with your tulpa.

Insight meditation is the core meditation of the Buddhist philosophy, and it has powerful effects on one's psyche. Regardless of whether or not their views are correct, the technique has been used to help criminals and has had a profound, life-changing effect on me personally.

I have a theory that practicing insight meditation with a tulpa will dramatically increase it's effectiveness and benefits. Vipassana works by strengthening awareness of one's conscious experience, gradually clearing the mind of chaotic thought. The unwatched mind, to them, brings unhappiness. Because the tulpa is newly formed, and has a (theoretically) clearer mind, it may have an easier time gaining benefit from these exercises.

If you are interested in trying it, for science, I would like to know what kind of effect it has on the tulpa. I don't know whether they could do it in wonderland or if switching is necessary. For those interested, this is a straightforward guide of the process.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you consider it.

RE: Sentient Tulpas and Insight Meditation

This sounds like a pretty great thing to do when forcing in general, especially when it comes to bonding with your tulpa and forming their personalities. Not to mention, it looks like it has a long-term effect that can help both of you, as well.

Even though my username is that of my tulpa, Quilten, my name is Phaneron, the host, who does all of the actual posting.

A User by the name of "Shui" is actually rather well versed in this meditation and attends yearly workshops. I was rather interested so i looked into it myself, but life got in the way and i forgot about it. Their PR contains the info.

RE: Tulpa Sentience and Insight Meditation

I miss Shui, I wish he'd come back to the community.

To bring the thread back to topic, this form of meditation actually sounds like a combination of two Feri Tradition forms I use. The first being a Sitting in Silence practice while the other is called Keys of Remembrance. The first is used to make you aware of all your stray thoughts you have. Positive and negative so you can learn from yourself. The second is used to help keep you grounded to reality while still maintaining a line of thought that feels to be more "in your head", so to speak.

Bud is already pretty well developed, but as we are all people that are ever changing, I think he and I can give this practice a go and see where it takes the both of us.
