Tulpas Reacting to ASMR

Since I couldn't find a thread that that discussed tulpas and ASMR in depth, I decided to open a thread myself.

Has any host possibly switched/let their tulpa posses them and experienced ASMR in that condition? If so, how did the body react? Was the experience more intense or was it duller? Or did you not get any tingles at all?

I've found that, when I'm switched in, I react a lot more than my host would to ASMR videos. The body would shake every now and then, with the head jerking to one side. At most, my host would only get some faint tingles.

Would you say that -in general- you tulpas are more sensitive to stimulations that are directed to the senses & mind? Could this be because you are beings that were created in the mind itself?

[Hail] Tri tried ASMR when possessing and absolutely loves it, more so than I do.

I'm unsure if it's because we were created in the mind, but yes, we're a lot more sensitive to things than our host. And it seems as if those sensations have been a lot stronger for me after spending a lot of time in the body, these past few years.

Do you have any ideas as to why this happens?

Oh man.

Never even thought of this.

Reisen is going to explode. But in a good, non-lethal sort of way.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

It is possible that it is caused by the placebo effect, perhaps an unconscious one? I'm not really aware of how it would happen, but perhaps unconsciously, the mind would have the thought that the tulpa would be affected in more or less radical ways than the 'host', as a switch of 'consciousness' or rather persona, in the mind's eyes. Merely a hypothesis.

Ah, I'm too tired. I only came here to help.

My tulpas are much more in-tune with the environment, and I suppose reality in general, than I am. They just notice things I don't, having been desensitized from my entire life prior. They feel the carpet under our feet, see all the different shades of light on my walls, and just generally see things more.. intimately? My eyes skim over my room and I really get nothing out of it, but they see the wood of my desk, the weird design of my mouse, the awesome translucent contact juggling ball I have (okay, I see that too). Basically: Reisen's going to a-splode.

Honestly, I think if they fronted all the time like I did, they'd become desensitized to all the stimuli they're constantly exposed to like I am. But they don't, so they aren't. And I don't really see that ever not being the case.

Interesting, but I'd say something deeper than just the placebo effect is in the play.

Yes, just like how the nose stops sending the brain signals when it has smelled something for too long, tulpas would become desentized to external stimuli if they were exposed to it for a long time, but they aren't. Feel free to come back and tell us about Reisen's experience, by the way! We can never be too interested in this kind of stuff.
