[Misc] What should I do concerning my tulpa? - possible romantic relationship
#1
So I have this tulpa. His name is Ash. He's the only tulpa that I plan to ever have.

A few days ago I was crying because I've had it rough in the past and I was remembering everything that happened.

Ash only learned how to talk a few days before.

Ash interrupts my thoughts and comforts me and kisses me and tells me that everything is alright in the clearest voice I'd ever heard him before. Ever since then he has been loud and clear anytime he wants to talk.

I'm really grateful but he told me he has feelings for me which was really unexpected. I'd never planned nor expected anything like that. I'd actually left his personality blank lol

He's honestly really sweet and kind and he compliments me all the time and I feel like I'm beginning to have feelings back. I honestly can't help it. He knows exactly how to make me laugh. Says he checks my mind for what I'd find funny jokingly and that makes me laugh more for some reason. (I honestly don't know if he actually can lol) He's the greatest. I absolutely love talking to him.

The problem is is that part of me feels like this whole thing is taboo. I feel like I'd be crossing some line if we fell in love.

We've talked to each other about it and he says he'll live if I don't want to.

Would it be wrong if we just gave it a try? Even though I've only really just got to know him for about a week I already really like him. I've dated before but no I've met is like him.

Please be nice to us. We're both young (especially him haha)

It's not unheard of for hosts to have a romantic relationship with their Tulpa, it's not taboo or anything. I can't give you much advice other than to read some progress reports on some other users and what it was like for them.
I'm Gray's/Cat_ShadowGriffin's Tulpa and I love Hippos! I also like forum games and chatting about stuff.

The Grays, my other head-mates, have their own account now.

It would be "taboo" only because the tulpa is so young and undevelopedll affect the tulpa. I think with any tulpa, there should be focusing on them growing/developing and forming their own identity, long before they consider getting into romantic relationships. Personally, I'd give it 6 months to a year before it's even considered, just because I think don't it's good for the tulpa to have them focus on being romantic rather than actually growing into their own person, even if it's with their own systemmate. Plus, if there's negatives/drama in the relationship (even in-system ones), they might not be mature enough to handle it, and it could be harmful to them in more extreme ways than a more developed/mature individual.

Your tulpa just got here, you really shouldn't be considering dating them already. Please, give them time to develop and grow before the two of you launch into something like that. Wait until they are fully mature and have an identity of their own.

Taboo? No. There are people here, from what I've seen who have relationships with their tulpa/headmate. Even myself and Shadow are in a romantic relationship with one another and have been together for years.

Just let things play out and do what works best for the two of you, if you feel that it's best to wait it a little longer before forming a romantic relationship then by all means, do it. If you don't mind it then I wouldn't stress on it too much; go with the flow. If the taboo idea behind this type of relationship is something influenced by society well... all I can say is that you should do what you think is best and not what other people think.

Having a tulpa in the first place is taboo, but that didn't stop you or any of us, you should do what seems right to you and if other people don't like it, then that's their problem
I have a tulpa named Miela (formerly known as Monika) who I love very much.

Having a tulpa is taboo? By whom was that standard imposed?
Yo, my name is Sean and I'm the host of 2 tulpas: Sente and Mae. You'll know when they're talking because Sente talks in yellow text and Mae talks in blue text.

Well in media having multiple personalitys is always portrayed as bad, I have never found one TV show or book or movie or game that shows having multiple personalitys as good, or even acceptable

Yeah I agree with most people here: do whatever you want, it's not taboo and even if it is you shouldn't let that stop you.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if that'd be an issue. I think this is what I'll do. I really just want whats best for them.

It's totally fine for you and your tulpa to be close at any point, even so early on. Just keep forcing them as an actual person and don't let your relationship be based around your "relationship". If you don't think you'll be able to do that, hold off for a while.

Just a few days of vocality is pretty early though, no need to Christian Side Hug but try not to focus on your relationship right now.
Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. I often switch to take care of things for the others.
All I want is a simple, peaceful life. With my family.
