Guest Anonymous August 25, 2012 Share August 25, 2012 Something I've noticed is topics that say they are 3 pages long, but are actually 2 pages. I've never realized the reason before, but know I know that it's because of deleted replies. The page count stays the same even if your now-deleted post made the 3rd page. I don't know if deleting your own posts causes this, but mod deletion is certainly at fault here. http://imgur.com/a/PjbGV#2 and go back.
Phi August 25, 2012 Share August 25, 2012 If a post is deleted, the thread will continue to think that the post exists which will effect when it decides to create a new page. There's nothing in the moderator tools that can fix it, it's faulty coding.
Pleeb August 25, 2012 Share August 25, 2012 A program has to be ran that only administrators can run, to recount everything once something is deleted. It takes some processing power to do it, and may slow the forums for a second, so it's only ran once a day. EDIT: I'll go run it now. Spoiler An image in a signature behind a hidden tag! Loke August 25, 2012 Share August 25, 2012 Huh. I always just thought it was a fundamental problem with the software itself. That's what I was told, anyway. If you evade bans, we will permaban you!
Guest Anonymous January 26, 2013 Share January 26, 2013 If a thread has missing pages, could we report it to have those missing pages removed?
Barktooth January 27, 2013 Share January 27, 2013 Wow, it seems like every fucking thread has this problem. I never knew so many good posts were deleted all the time.
