More accurate timestamps?

Right now the time a post  was posted is only ever accurate to the minute, I was wondering if it would be possible to add in a title-text or something similar with a full timestamp like 2017-05-19T02:04:31+00:00

This is needed to solve some very important arguments.

Pretty please?

PS: If you were feeling super-duper nice and/or were in a standards-following mood, you could even use a proper tag like:

Pretty sure we thought about bringing up the lamer timestamps thing when the update came around, but did this instead https://community.tulpa.info/thread-preview-post-auto-scrolling

I think the inferred answer and why we didn't bother is there's no real way to change it without changing updates, and this one got us the account switcher I believe. Something like that.

I might be used to this update by now though, if how it used to be was exclusively the post-after-24-hours format we have now, I'd prefer it this way. I like being able to see "Yesterday", "hours ago" and "minutes ago" at a glance when checking threads. As someone who keeps up to date on all non-PR/Forum Games threads on the forum, I much prefer that over to the second timestamps.

But they were nice.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

I have added Time Format options that include seconds, which can be selected in the User CP, under "Edit Options".

Unfortunately, this isn't useful until however many hours pass when MyBB decides to show you the actual time of the post. If I change it back to how it was before the MyBB update, it will be at another time, as that is definitely more of an undertaking. Plus evidently some users like it this way.

At any rate, if you ever want to know the exact time of a post, you can quote it, look for the part of the quote bracket that says "dateline=", and convert the number from unix time to people time. That should be good enough to solve those very important arguments.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Ah, thank you. I had forgotten that quoting a post gives the timestamp.

Could I ask for a 24-hour time format with seconds as well? It seems to be missing.

Sure, done.
