NewTulpaMom December 23, 2014 Share December 23, 2014 The First Couple of Days! So I started creating a Tulpa the day before yesterday. I call her Alice, and right now she is just a light orb in form. I'm letting her form take a backseat, choosing to focus first on personality. I think she will end up being human in form though. So I got a list of personality traits, kind of narrating as I was assembling the list. Now that it is assembled, I am working symbolically to get the traits into her. Basically I visualize (as best I can considering my visualization skills aren't the greatest) a syringe with some traits. I explain the traits in the syringe and what they mean, then inject it into her. I try to do a lot of narrating. I will explain things about what I am doing or what is going on. I look forward to getting to know her.
NewTulpaMom December 25, 2014 Author Share December 25, 2014 Darn...typed a whole post and lost it. Hate when that happened. I went through more of the personality list, explaining each trait and symbolically injecting it into her. I've been doing plenty of narrating, from explaining the mundane stuff like using the bathroom, to explaining how her personality traits might affect how she sees or responds to things. Went to a Christmas Eve gathering with family and did some narrating. Sometimes I'll ask Alice what she thinks about things, acknowledging that I know she can't answer yet. I'll invite her to listen to my mind voice as I'm reading posts on this forum, telling her I look forward to hearing her opinions when she develops enough to form opinions and express them. NewTulpaMom December 25, 2014 Author Share December 25, 2014 First of all, a very merry Christmas to anyone who reads this. This may not be noteworthy, but nonetheless I figured it a bit worthy of noting. Yes, contradictory, I know . So I was playing a game on my phone, and doing a little narrating. Basically, you're digging for treasure, and when something eats you or crushes you, you are given your score and depth. These I read off to Alice in my mind voice. A little while ago, I read the score, and before getting to reading the depth, I got "how far down?" Given that I am just a few mere days into Tulsa forcing, I think this was just my own thought. This is why I say it'sprobably not noteworthy. I'm just not sure why I had the thought. Anything I have read indicates it is probably too early for a tulpa to communicate, let alone in words. I am a bit mystified as to why that thought popped into my head though. I think maybe I was about to in ad verdantly hit play before reading the depth. Maybe my brain was just reminding me to read the depth? Not sure,
sushi December 25, 2014 Share December 25, 2014 I'd say that was Alice. This is the reason the community discourages hour counts these days -- some people go much faster than the estimates. I did in that respect. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
NewTulpaMom December 25, 2014 Author Share December 25, 2014 Interesting. I get that some hosts/tulpas progress faster than others, I was just kind of under the impression that such a short time period as four days is a tad short to be particularly realistic. I am starting to feel like I am talking to someone when I force or narrate and not just talking/thinking to myself. It's hard to adequately explain. It's really subtle. It's not quite like I am feeling a presence, like a "hello I'm here" feeling, but I still feel like I am talking to someone.
Brassow December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 It's a Christmas Miracle! Just kidding, tuppers tend to become sentient and even vocal very quickly depending on the host. So just keep forcing and narrating, you'll be fine! TheSanctuary December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 indeed! just go with it! I suppose you could look at it this way. worst case scenario and its not actually Alice - when she finally does become vocal she can just say "yeah. that wasn't me, but thanks for believing! " belief in this stuff re-enforces your ability to continue, and as some other threads are discussing, higher quality forcing will probably give you better or faster results, and by higher quality i mean perhaps more convincing, or more focussed. keep at it! also.. NewTulpaMom December 27, 2014 Author Share December 27, 2014 Okay, so here's what I've been doing if I think I'm getting a response: I.will tell Alice that I am giving her the benefit of the doubt that it could be her, but also acknowledge it could be me. Maybe I just need to give her the benefit of the doubt that it *is* her and go from there. In reading different forum threads, it seems that some folks who have tulpa that seem to progress rapidly or are "insta-tulpas" probably aren't actually as far developed as the host thinks. What I am trying to avoid is getting ahead of myself in that way. I suppose though I could be subconsciously parroting if it's not her. I understand parroting used to be considered inadvisable but now is seen as not so bad and possibly helpful. So I'm thinking probably at best, she is able to give some responses, and at worst, I am helping her to develop to that point. So Christmas night it seems as if a colony of cold germs decided to set up camp in my body. I meant to do some active personality forcing yesterday and maybe work on form a little bit. But I pretty much stuck to narrating. I did tell her that a benefit to not having a body is she doesn't have to deal with it getting sick!
Aijada December 27, 2014 Share December 27, 2014 My host Foszae is convinced that how much you believe in the conversation determines how quickly your tulpa can learn. I suspect it may be how rich her narrative is. Alice has to learn her identity so she has ways to judge her own opinion and actions. She needs to find her own confidence by being sure that ideas are her own and being able to prove that they match her side of the story. Being able to 'own' thoughts and run them into a conversation becomes very important to a tulpa so it helps if the tulpamancer is willing to let go of the me-first idea when it comes to ideas in their own brain. She's also wiring up her language skills in these early phases, so attach a lot of meaning and back things up with lessons so that the ideas she is sure of are really grounded in something, either good facts or a vivid wonderland. Hope it works out for you guys Early member of a large system. Our system questions the way the afterlife and tulpamancy interact. sushi December 27, 2014 Share December 27, 2014 I'm glad you're acknowledging that it could be her. One of my friends on here has given up on tulpas after more than a year of forcing, because he refused to believe that any response he got whatsoever could possibly be his tulpa. As for me, I'm one of those insta-tulpa people. Fenchurch and I have been together for over a year now, but I believe she was sentient from the first time I ever forced. That's definitely where her memories start. She's not the most independent -- certainly not to the point of parallel processing -- but she has her own thoughts, and her insight has been a great help to me.
