Amon November 18, 2016 Share November 18, 2016 Hello everyone. I'm trying to come up with a form and wonderland (provided I even use one) for my tulpa before I start developing them, and I started to wonder if there are objectively "better" forms and wonderlands, so to speak. I'm curious about complexity and familiarity, so to be specific, would I have an easier time with the process if my tulpa was something simple like a cat and my wonderland was my bedroom? tulpa001 November 18, 2016 Share November 18, 2016 I've seen a bunch of threads about this, but it is all theory. Your guess is as good as anyone's. For example, are pony forms better because they are more simplistic, or are human forms better because they are more familiar? Are animé forms really all that bad because they are super 2D and therefore can't rotate? Does building a library in your wonderland really make it easier for your tulpa to read your memories? Simple probably does not help. To maximise the chance of success you need something as exciting to you as possible. Complexity means you may end up forgetting details all the time. Like the holes in my legs. Also, how do I manage to keep losing the horn that is right there on my forehead? Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide. Vos November 18, 2016 Share November 18, 2016 Depending on how you approach simplistic forms, they can be much easier to visualize, especially if they're small. If you have an easy time visualizing cats, then yes, visualization would go smoothly for you, but keep in mind that this likely won't affect anything else in any meaningful way. Pygmalion November 19, 2016 Share November 19, 2016 I have been considering changing the form of my tulpa recently because I created a form that was too detailed and was not a particularly human form and so it only made it harder for me to visualize. I would definitely recommend a form that you can visualize easily because the current form I have for my tulpa has probably slowed progress for us because I can't visualize the form in a consistent way easily. Vampire November 19, 2016 Share November 19, 2016 As for wonderlands, make it interesting. Give them everything you would want. Don't keep them stuffed up in four walls. Give them some grass and open sky, maybe a castle to rule over. Make it entertaining. Ponytail November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 There is no such thing as "Optimal" for a general audience. There is an optimal for an individual however, which is up to you to find out. I would suggest you take it slowly that way you can visualize it, but otherwise the world (wonderland?) is your oyster. The System: It's too big. ha, that's what she said. Amon November 21, 2016 Author Share November 21, 2016 That's helpful, thank you for sharing. I suppose it only makes sense that wonderlands are subjective. Now one more question, and I apologize if this has been answered thousands of times already. For my first tulpa would it be advisable to allow the tulpa to choose its own form and personality, or should I control the process completely? My logic being that if I have a clearer idea of what my tulpa will be like, there will be less room for error, doubt, confusion, etc. when he/she is more developed and active. I don't want them to "reveal" their form, so to speak, only to be manipulated subconsciously into something I find more desirable.
Vampire November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 I would advise that you choose a starting form that you can focus on at least. If you are dead set on letting them become whatever they want without influencing it by choosing say a human body, I would recommend a "wisp". Essentially a floating orb of energy. It's easy to visualize and is essentially a nothingness form. As for personality, as long as you send them good emotions and let them know you care about them you will be surprised with what you will end up with. In my case although I laid out the personality as much as possible for Ivy she surprised me in being perfect in ways I can't even explain. All the holes I missed were filled with exactly the traits I would have wanted her to have anyways, or ones I wanted and didn't even know it. tulpa001 November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 Controlling the tulpa is anathema to the process. At some point, you will need to let go, completely, or your tulpa will have problems. However, early on, you have many choices. Almost nothing you can do causes problems. So I say choose a form, and over time, you will probably come to realise yourself that their form is not up to you anymore. And that you don't really want it to be. Host comments in italics.
