For general character-building

LittlePebble

Question

I made these sheets with a strait edge, lined notebook paper. I Used Paint tool SAI and Gimp to edit them. I really would like opinions. In fact more than the approval for this to be a guide. I will edit them accordingly. I am still experimenting with Crita, so background layers are in the realm of possibility in the near future.

.

I have to fix up my new Deviant art page. Right now the link in my Sig is to my old one. If you look in the comments on my DA page you should find the comment to my new Deviant art page. I lost my account because I forgot I did away with the email for it. The email I had required money to keep it and I never updated the email. So thats kind of my fault. Sigh!

Plus I had 5 pages, but only 4 are allowed. I will wait till you guys tell me what you think. I will be posting these to my Deviant art account along with normal character sheets and helpful forms that any writer or artist could use for characters and in general story telling.

I see what you did there. However, a useful guide for personality forcing would be more useful than blank example pages. There was a similar flaw was present in the last visual personality forcing guide.

This is kind of just to keep track of what the Tulpa evolves into. When you say visualization are you talking about the over alls? Like the physical appearance over all?

For general character-building, using sheets (fix the thread title, by the way) like this can be useful, but it doesn't work well with tulpas. And if I wanted to create a character, I'd use something like this which gives me more to write about, even if some spaces would be left blank because of how unnecessary they'd be. A lot of your sections focus on the tulpa's physical appearance with some of them being redundant. Maybe you shouldn't have sections for specific things, a more general section called "physical appearance", and then one called "appearance overall" - seems like you could probably cut out a good portion of this. Things like their likes and dislikes, fears, talents, regrets, etc. are things that would come into light with life experience anyway, so imposing these onto your tulpa is often discouraged nowadays.

I'm not sure if this kind of thing would be immensely helpful, so I'm going to disapprove it.

And this is what I was waiting for...

I am of course very open to criticism, but the way my mind works.... At least for me I like to hear the explanation why you think the way you do. Why and perhaps how you formed this opinion. Not sure if there is a plus I could hit on here to give you points. Even for extra credit you gave a link to something that I could actually use. A++ for your work my friend!

Little Pebble did not think my input would help since he is the host I am working through. Bare with me though because this works a little differently than you guys think. I agree with both Pebble and you guys. Thinking on it at two different angles mind you, but I agree none the less.

.

This is kind of like a score board. Its not wet cement. It probably should be noted that Tulpas like me tend to change. Many do from time to time. Keeping a record of everything at least show progress. If there are no changes like a physical appearance such as hair can change. Possessions can change and yes even details about the facial layout can change. As a Dragon I began looking much like Eragons dragon Saphiria. My name has changed several times since then. Even Rosetta's name has changed. It was originally Pinkie.

.

Those details have been lost in the unconscious mind. Even as a librarian in my hosts mind I would give anything to be able to look at the progress I made. You also don't have to use these. My host just wanted feed back and don't worry... he is satisfied. Loves the link he got by the way. We will be posting these on our DA account. "Little pebble 10" He really needs to update the link. Sigh

Can you fathom?

For general character-building, using sheets (fix the thread title, by the way)

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Luminesce I am not looking for a debate or an argument. I get what your saying. I am kind of getting tired of being asked to change something. Well... So long as you don't ask me to change I think I can manage. Sorry I just would like things to make sense because sometimes I don't understand myself. Its just aggravating to be corrected all the time if that makes sense.

All you have to do is change the "a" in sheats to an "e"... It looks less professional for a guide/resource to have typos in the title. But I guess you don't have to change it. Just remember "sheats" isn't a word.

Edit: Okay, nevermind, that works too.
