Physical Health and Tulpas

“A strong body makes the mind strong.”

―Thomas Jefferson

Looking through these forums, unsurprisingly the psyche and mental self are pretty thoroughly developed. There are plenty threads about how drugs effect Tulpas, how mental health effects Tulpas, how emotions effect forcing, and so on so forth. Its not at all surprising, Tulpas are an entirely mental phenomenon so its only reasonable to expect this. Regardless I feel that there is a huge thing that people hasn't been properly accounted for. And assuming that you could read the title, I'm fairly certain you know what it is.

I remember a that when I was a kid, whenever my father felt off, he would go for a run. He said it would help him think, and that he would generally feel better afterward. Recalling to when I actually worked out, I seem to recall my Tulpas seeming healthier too, not only that, but I slept better, my concentration was better, and I was in a better mood, and it wasn't just because I could look at myself in the mirror and not think about how much it looked like I could snap.

Why is this?

Well simply put the Mind-Body Dualism that I think most people believe, isn't as yin and yang as we think. Though the concept of Mind and Body being separate has some value, the more one looks into the relationship between the mind and the body, the more one finds out how intimately the mind and body are intertwined. Mood effects our immune system, Self Esteem is linked to health, Exercising releases serotonin in the brain, one of the happy chemicals that regulates our mood, sleep, memory, and learning ability. While the focus on the mind aspect of Tulpamancery is certainly deserved, I feel that the links between the body, and Tulpas should be researched.

I'm not going to tell you to get ripped. ( Actually you know what, yeah, you should get ripped, but not for the sake of this experiment) I'm not going to tell you to drop ten pounds or gain five pounds. I'm going to to tell you to just try and improve your overall health over a one month period. Exercise, eat a better id

Here is a survey to fill out, it is anonymous, and it will help determine if there is a link between general physical health and Tulpamancing ability. You'll have to excuse the rather arbitrary parameters I chose for Tulpa development, but with something so subjective, I felt the best way to go over it was with milestones.

I will be taking part in this as well. Starting this week I will exercise at the my college where I can run laps, lift some weights, use the cardio lap, ect, and I will in addition try to drink more tea, and less soft drinks, as well as trying an over all more balanced diet.

As wit hall experiments sample size is key, so if you want to come on in, by all means do. Even if there is no correlation you only really end up doing good for your body.

And even if you don't want to participate, Its important to also have a sizable control group, so you can still contribute to this without doing shit.

Thank you all willing to participate.

If you were to put your visualization skills on JDbar's scale, how would you say you ranked before, and after getting in shape.

Also, 'grats on quitting smoking.

I'm not in bad shape. I don't think anyone would call me fat. Still, I'm not happy with what I look like under my clothes, and I definitely believe that physical fitness is good for your mind. I've been trying to get in better shape lately. But I never thought that it would help Fench. (Though she is always encouraging me to eat healthy and exercise.) This will be interesting.

I'll participate in this. I'm looking forward to getting back into shape, or at least getting back to a more normal weigh. I'm not fat (at least I believe I don't), moreso chubby from the last few months of doing nothing. Just hoping I can commit to this sort of thing for myself and for my tulpas.
