plausible punishment for tulpa rape offenders?

lets say there are two tulpas in a system and one tulpa rapes the other, now let's also say that both tulpas are somehow legal persons in this world with ssn's,driver's licenses, birth certificates, etc. how would you go about punishing the perpetrator in this case? would it even be possible to protect the victim from them? for obvious reasons things like restraining orders wouldn't work. if you put the body of the tulpas in prison then other innocent people in the system would have to suffer for a crime they didn't even commit. thoughts?

What the heck are you talking about? This is the insanity that tulpa sentience leads us to. I have a solution. Create a new set of tulpas lawyers, judges and jurors and have a trial. You might need tulpa criminal investigators as well. Make sure you are not puppeting any of it.

Okay, I anticipate this thread not going well at all. I hope I can make a couple of definitive points and end this before it gets out of hand.

1. You cannot be raped by someone else in your own mind. It is all imaginary. If you (or a sufficiently developed tulpa) do not want it to happen, it does not happen. It is not the physical world where someone can physically force themselves on someone else. Those who claim otherwise need to learn to control their imagination.

2. The law will not only not accept tulpas as citizens or independent lawful entities in any capacity (nor should they), but there is absolutely no way to enforce any "crime" that happens in one's mind. And this ties in with point number 1. I can't happen, anyway.

And I do find it pointless and silly to argue these points from an Orwellian future point of view.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

I am glad you said it and not me first. Thank you Kiahdaj, there is some sense in this community.

It makes me wonder what would really happen to society if tulpa science went mainstream and the majority of people on Earth had a tulpa. I can just imagine the criminal justice system chaos and the wacky social issues it would bring. Let's keep this community small.

I'm not 100% convinced that this isn't trolling, but what the hell, I'll bite.

Even in systems where every thoughtform shares equal ownership of the body, I'm pretty sure the law would consider them one person. A person with Tulpas would be like their own country and would be responsible for dealing out justice for crimes that happen inside their borders. Unless you or your Tulpa does something that effects another "country" (i.e. residents of another body) then it isn't really the jurisdiction of the government to step in, any more than it is for the UN to prosecute a rape or murder in one of their member nations.

Besides, "sex" with a Tulpa is really just thinking sexy thoughts together while whoever's running the body masturbates, so how would you even rape a Tulpa?

The reaction people are getting from reading the OP is the reaction Mistgod and I get from philosophical threads dealing with tulpa related ethics. "Is is wrong to not celebrate a birfday for your tulpas when real peoples get birfdays? Is is unethical to take an opposite gender tulpa into the men's room with you? What makes a tulpa truly a happy person and what if that is opposite of what you need to be happy? Who gets happiness priority? I could do that all day and enjoy it actually, making these silly questions."

Luna: Can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with Kiah. We exist outside the law. As for our personal experiences on this topic... well, we find it's a fitting punishment to just shun the other person until they can make us like them again. Not like we can throw them in tulpa jail and throw away the key (well, not feasibly anyway).

Shunning is actually quite good! Really it is the only thing I see that would be effective. Very good stuff my friend! The voice of experience.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
