Progress Report - Arien (New Host, Please Assist)

Hey, guys! My name is Aaron. I'm 14 (Coming up on 15) and, well, I'm new. I know what you're all going to say, this is a big deal and I need to know i'm ready to begin. Trust me, I've been researching this for literally the last 5 months. I've made friends with some hosts and talked to them about it over skype (Yes, more than one) And i've read over the majority of this website before even signing up, so trust me. I'm ready.

Even with all my research, I still have a couple of small questions.

Should I create my wonderland before or after I start forcing?

Does listening to music while meditating help?

Alright, moving on.

I have a blunt idea of what I want to do with my tulpa, but it still needs refining. Arien is based off an OC I created a while back, basically a representation of what I want to be. The main reasonings behind me wanting a tulpa would be having a shoulder to lean on, a friend to share those lonely nights with (not in that way, you perv!) and mainly just another role model in my life to give me confidence and make me push myself harder.

I should say the reason I didn't start sooner is school. I'm in a gifted students program, so I'm put under a lot more stress. But now I've got 6 weeks of holidays, I can get myself into a schedule of forcing, so I can come back in to school and be prepared for the new year.

So the first step i'm taking is creating a big sheet of qualities and traits my tulpa will have, so I have something I can memorise (I'm a bit forgetful, hopefully that won't prove as too much of a problem)

I'll post my list as soon as I'm done with it. Talk to you guys later

Ooh, if you could send me some skype names, I'd love to talk to you guys about this a bit more personally.

Hey, welcome.

Should I create my wonderland before or after I start forcing?

Wonderlands shouldn't take much time to make. Just imagine a serene place to be and roll with it. Before I guess, as this should take, what, 5 minutes? Imagine a great forest, a cozy cabin, something you'd be able to relax in.

Does listening to music while meditating help?

I've had good experiences regarding forcing to music. Especially tones, they'd help me stay awake and focused throughout the session. Here's a link to them if you'd like to try them out.

After a long search i've found my tulpa's form.

Have a pic!

Alright, first forcing session is done! God, that felt good.

I spent about 15 minutes telling Arien about myself, at which point I ran into a bit of a mental blank (My life isn't very interesting) And then spent a good 10 minutes telling him about why I wanted a tulpa, and the effects it could have on both of us. I ran into a few tangents along the way, but as soon as we finished forcing, I got up and felt slightly dizzy. I don't get dizzy. I'm going to assume this is a good sign xD. I also told him about a few things I'm planning on doing with him over the next few weeks. I know i'm getting the studio ghibli movie "My Neighbour Totoro" for christmas, so we're going to sit down and watch it together. I also plan on reading him some Anthony Horowitz books, and showing him Code Geass, to introduce him to the character i'm basing him off.

So, what do you guys think?

Welcome to the forums. First off, take it slow. You've got a few factors that are probably going to work against you. If you're smart you already know what I'm talking about. That is your age. I know you think it is a problem and it probably will be but it doesn't have to define your experience as you tackle the tulpa process.

Having a tulpa can be as demanding or as easy going as you like. Either way if you have commitment it is a drawn out process. You can and many people do have a tulpa for years and potentially for the rest of their lives. Wow, that's a long time.

I don't like to be the lame guy who ruins fun but I'm going to give you a bit of advice I wish I had been able to give 14-15 year old me. Before you make a post on this forum, or any other, wait a while. Read what you wrote then wait and hour, maybe even a day. Make what you are saying as clear and concise as possible and don't be that whimsical kid with no direction who posts one line responses. Lame stuff aside which I'm sure you don't really care much to hear anyway.

Lelouch is an interesting character choice for sure. A complex character who hides behind so many different personalities it's somewhat difficult to pin him down. I suppose that makes him interesting but I'm not sure I'd want to spend my time with someone exactly like him. On the other hand if you just focus on his appearance and the personality traits he displays when around friends then I think he's quite a solid character to use.

Plus he's cool. When I first watched Code Geass I know he was my favorite character. I'd never seen anything quite like him before. I should probably watch it again..... anyway.

Coming up with a trait list sure can be helpful but it isn't something everyone does. My advice would be to remember the traits sure but not talk about them too much, if at all. Imagine your tulpa is a real person, just like yourself. In a conversation with a real person you don't talk about their personality unless there is a huge gaping flaw or something you are really impressed by. That trait list should be used by your subconscious, not at the front of your mind, when your talking with Arien.

On that note, more advice. Be natural with your tulpa. Don't make him into a project or a chore. Have fun and be casual about it. Don't try to teach him when you interact with him, instead keep conversation flowing like you would when you are with your friends. When you read him those books by Anthony Horowitz make sure you are doing it to have fun. If Arien is going to be perceived as older than you (his form leds to that) then it'll probably be awkward if you try to explain stuff to him. Instead, ask his opinion on things that happen in the book, or have him read a section (doubles as helping you get used to his voice.)

Yeah. All that was a bit long winded but I hope it helps. If you are still looking for more advice or assistance then it might help to look into active forcing vs passive forcing. That is, having your tulpa around all the time instead of just during your sessions. For example, my tulpa is here now as I type this out. He isn't the center of attention but he's here.

Anyway, good luck. Keep at it and if you have any trouble then try to sort it out instead of letting it get worse. You're only just starting, anything could happen.

I'm going to actually put some thought into replying to this, so you'll hear from me again later, but I just want to say up front that I can't thank you enough for this post. And don't worry, I probably needed that lame stuff, I'm getting too into this too fast, and I need to put a quick damper on this before it consumes my life these next few weeks.

Do you have skype? if so i'd like to talk to you about this in person. I'll PM you my username.

I'm starting to genuinely enjoy talking with my tulpa, I feel like I can just talk to him about anything, which I can't say for most people in my life. Don't get me wrong, I have a great family and awesome friends, but we all have our secrets, and I have mine. My sessions so far have mostly consisted of me talking about my life, going off on tangents and asking him a couple of questions. I have had a few dizzy spells here and there, which i'm taking as a good sign of sentience, I haven't had any signs of yes/no responses yet, though.

Is it too early to start reading to Arien?

Would it be easier to wait until I know he's sentient to start?

I had a forcing session this morning, more narrating and just general chit-chat. I got another dizzy spell at the end of it again, which makes me absolutely sure something's happening, wether it's sentience or... well, what else could it be? Anyway, later on in the day I slipped into my wonderland and read Arien the first chapter of Anthony Horowitz's Stormbreaker (One of my favorite novels) Which seemed to please him, as I got this giddy feeling every time I read a line with good writing or some sort of action. Oh, yeah, that. I think Arien is beginning to communicate with me, through emotions and feelings in my gut, both giddyness and pressure.

The other session I had today was out on a walk. I decided it would be a good idea to test if walking or physical activity would stimulate my brain more, and make it easier to visualise. Turns out I was correct, and I was able to easily see Arien walking right beside me. Something strange happened in the middle of the walk. I had a minute where I a slight mental blank and wasn't sure what to say, when all the sudden, I randomly started thinking about a song. A song I hadn't even thought about in the past year or two. It was Breakaway, by Kelly Clarkson, which used to be one of my favourite songs. I sang a solo for it in choir, during one of the best times of my life, but after high school depression kicked in I kind of completely forgot about it. I would have remembered if it came on in the radio recently or something like that, trust me.

It took me an hour or two to come to this revelation, as I had the song stuck in my head that entire time, but I began to think it was Arien who had reminded me of the song, as it came from a time in my life where I wasn't so depressive to be around. So I went into my dreamland and sat him down, and politely asked him to seek my permission before delving into my memory in future. I felt a bit of a wrench in my stomach, which told me he was feeling guilty, so I comforted him and told him it was OK, and what he did made my day, but just to ask in future, in case he brought up anything I didn't want to remember.

So, tl;dr: More forcing, Some reading, and my tulpa brought back a childhood memory.

Thoughts?

Small forcing session during day, talked about our future, about what i'm restricting him to in my mind, and the stuff I won't mind if he does do, changing forms and stuff.

I'll update this log in the morning, as I plan on testing if sleep deprivation helps me force/visualise.

Asking for skype names again... I'm desperate, shut up

I had the idea of creating a long term list of goals for me and Arien.

1. Concentrate on Passive Forcing

2. Vocalisation

3. Achieve Sentience

4. Visualisation

5. Explore/Expand Our Wonderland

6. Basic Possession

7. (List is still work in progress)

So yeah, that's my plan for the next few weeks/months/years/life.

Oh, and I also want to teach Arien Mambo Number Five.
