Questions regarding the final outcome of a Tulpa

Hey there everyone! I was told by a friend about Tulpas and I was really interested in this! But I have a few questions regarding them. And please correct me if I may say something that isn't right in my questions

When the tulpa is fully manifested within your head, does it cut off some of you brain power that you may normally use?(Normally, I'm just afraid that it might affect my studies as a college student, considering I have to worry about keeping a 3.1 GPA to keep a scholarship.)

Does the tulpa know its a tulpa? Or does it consider itself whatever it may be manifested as?(Can I say that it is a tulpa right in its face if someone ever asked "Who are you talking to?" and not be offended?)

Can complications arise if the process and meditation toward the creation of the tulpa messes up in some way? What kinds can happen? Is there a way to make sure none of these complications arise? (Again, I don't want anything affecting my studies, as I already have enough pressure to keep them up. I just don't want some emotional breakdown or complication to occur within me or the tulpa.)

Can you provide any links to great tulpa creation guides with clear, concise, and detailed paths during the process? (I'm afraid of finding one and messing up along the process. I'd like to ask the community here considering you know more about tulpa than I do.)

Thank you in advance!

1. You only use 10% of your brain at any given time, tulpa has tons of space. In addition due to how much activity goes on while making and owning a tulpa you'll create more neural connections.

2. If you make it knowing it's a tulpa then it will know. I don't recall anyone ever testing if you can completely lie to it.

3. Tulpae are so easy to make you pretty much have to fuck up on purpose to do any damage. But there are also "better" ways to do it that will result in a quicker, healthier tulpa. Just make sure you NEVER fall asleep while tulpaforcing because dreams are a tulpa's personal pyramid head.

4. Go to the "Guides" link up top, or lurk the forums. You'll learn everything you'll need lurking.

This myth needs to die a horrible death.

There are people in the world with tons of hallucinations. A tulpa will fit in your mind.

Tulpa generally know that they are tulpa.

It's not a myth.

People are about as bright as a 10 watt potato ☺

Not to derail the thread too much, but the 10% brain functioning idea is definitely a myth. Seems like it took hold in parapsychology too. There are plenty of other ways to argue for the merits of tulpas, but this one doesn't give us any credibility to stand on.

1) Brain imaging research techniques such as PET scans (positron emission tomography) and fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) clearly show that the vast majority of the brain does not lie fallow. Indeed, although certain minor functions may use only a small part of the brain at one time, any sufficiently complex set of activities or thought patterns will indeed use many parts of the brain. Just as people don't use all of their muscle groups at one time, they also don't use all of their brain at once. For any given activity, such as eating, watching television, making love, or reading, you may use a few specific parts of your brain. Over the course of a whole day, however, just about all of the brain is used at one time or another.

This is what I was implying though.

You mean there are actually people who believe 90% of the brain is dead space?

Then again, see my previous post ☺

It doesn't affect brainpower, except maybe if you make a bunch of them. A finished tulpa may actually help you in college, since they have amazing memory recall and far better access to your subconscious's resources than you do.

A tulpa does generally know it's a tulpa and is okay with it.

Two issues I've heard of are the tulpa becoming depressed, and the subconscious sometimes doing Bad Things to a tulpa if you fall asleep while forcing. As for depression, they seem to do pretty well if you treat them well and don't assign them a backstory / fabricated memories.

The guides in the GUIDES section of this site are pretty good, if a bit outdated.

Go take a look at the guides but at the same time try and formulate your own way of creating your tulpa. Try and make it as comfortable for you as possible.

I tried convincing my first tulpa, Maya, that it was real -- before I had read any guides. Needless to say, I definitely fucked things up hardcore for my first tulpa. Also, as a person who spent a lot of time forcing right before sleeping, I can't say my tulpae have ever been affected by dreams.
