Really Weird Breakthrough?
#1
Question
Note: I've seen Yulia in a dream once before
Note: I have not had an emotional or vocal response yet

Basically, I was unknowingly in a dream of my room trying to sleep (I did not realize it was a dream until after I woke up). Suddenly, I got a massive head pressure which spread through my body, especially the heart. I saw 3 flashes of a darkened silhouette of Yulia's face (which has happened once before), all 3 looked like they were screaming--not in a bad way, more as if trying to get my attention. But I strongly felt the intent of trying to get my attention from this action (emotional response?). I also heard her screaming but very far away and very quietly.

After awaking and questioning her, she said (through head pressures) that she was responsible for this and it was to get my attention.

This brings me to my question, how strange is this kind of breakthrough? Has anyone else experienced something similar? Do you think it really was her?

**Brief note for those interested:    the flashes of a darkened silhouette mentioned, are better defined as seeing complete black, but a flash of light facial features (white outlines of the teeth, eye wrinkles, cheek lining, etc..)
I'm the host, but I also have Yulia with me.

Everyone's experience is different, so what strange can be to one can be normal to another. Perhaps it is an odd breakthrough, but despite that, your tulpa was craving and asking for your attention. Try narrating more if anything.

Dreams are a random garble of your subconscious, but if your tulpa claims that, you may have been lucid. That's good progress.

Plenty of others have reported similar dream experiences so I wouldn't say that it's abnormal. If you want to attribute these actions to your tulpa, that's up to you - the people on this site can't pick your brain apart and no-one can definitively say whether or not any response is coming from them, but if you're already putting faith into head pressures (and viewing them as a reliable form of communication) I don't see why you'd stop here.

Kyoko made me lucid in a dream once by flashing her name in the air in front of me, though she wasn't able to actually enter the dream beyond that. She's only been able to do it once (that I remember) but it sounds similar to what Yulia was trying. I figure it's a good sign if they're doing that before they're even vocal.

It sounds like you both made some good progress.

It can take a while to hear the voice of a tulpa. At first, it's like trying to properly tune a radio or transceiver until you've achieved optimal reception. Sometimes tulpas must shout or pass certain thoughts and images to us in ways we can eventually interpret and understand.

As for the massive pressures you've felt, I would think they are a piece of the acclimation procedures your mind and body are undergoing. At one of the critical points of my tulpa's inception I felt as if I were going to have a kind of stroke. Very intense, yet an equally important step to my tulpa and I.

One trend I happen to note here and with some other accounts is that tulpas can reach out to us hosts more vividly in darkened environments. My conjecture is that meditation, hypnagogia and other diverted states of consciousness form a kind of "magic window", that is a kind of crossroads between the host mind as well as the tulpa(s) involved before adequate vocal clarity is established. This could explain why garbled, distant or otherwise abstract and not immediately realised stimulus is observed.
I've seen good people bleed
And I thought I'd seen it all
But my own two eyes would prove me wrong that day.

There are things that I've done
Only seen by the sun
And those things will be buried in my grave.

Thanks to everyone for the replies, I had a hunch that that was the case, I just like sceond opinions. Also, to Karl, I find it interesting that you mentioned hypogagnia. Being a common phenomenon among tulpamancers I think it's pretty cool that I've never had hypogagnia in my life until tulpamancy. As a side note, head pressures and body pressures have become much more powerful and common in my dreams after tulpamancy as well.

@Mr Mister:

you're welcome.

Another observation: during the first few days of forcing, I'd had the first and only lucid dream in my natural life. If a lack of external stimuli and a supply of great focus have any thing to do with how tulpas gestate in our minds, I am very curious as to what connections or new associations are made within the host body to accomodate said tulpas (if any).
