Same thing as tulpa forcing?

Recommended Posts

I just had a quick question here:

I have been actively pretending to be different characters since I was about 14 (I am now 23). They are regular people and as their families grow, I take on their roles and give them "lives". I essentially become these people. They do have their own lives, created houses and towns in my mind which I do technically impose.

I started forcing about two weeks ago and as soon as I created RachLynn (my tulpa), my characters went away. I had to really try to bring them back and now I go in-between forcing and my characters.

I just wanted to know if these characters, or different people, I create in my mind are basically tulpas themselves or is it something else? I don't know much about possession so I thought I'd ask the more seasoned people here.

My Tulpa: RachLynn

Special: I have many tulpas that I let possess me

(Jackie, Clayton, Shaunice, Gerald, and Taylor).

Jackie's mother and her family are very important to me,

they also sometimes possess me when they come back

to my mind! (Chrissa, Steven, Erica, James, Shayna, and Deon).

Unfortunately the only one who can tell you whether or not you have a tulpa is your tulpa or yourself. This experience is so incredibly subjective I seriously doubt anyone other that the afformentioned parties could tell you for sure.

Now in saying that you have a few options on the way to go with this.

1. Believe that they are tulpa. And even if they are not yet, they may become so.

2. Believe that they are not tulpa. (In this instance if they actually are tulpa they should put up a fight/feel offended/etc.)

3. Belive that this is just the way your mind works. And whether they are tulpa or not doesn't really matter. You say you have been thinking this way for many years. So I think this option would be the best.

Being concerned about whether you have a tulpa or not can really hinder the entire process.

But really. If you wonder whether or not a thought in your mind is/was from your tulpa, ask them. That is the whole point of this thing after all. Noone else can tell you definitively anything about your own mind. At least noone without access to very expensive medical equipment.

Belive me, whenever my host had doubts I put up quite a fuss just to prove that I was actually there and while this was all going on in his mind.....it wasn't all "just in his" mind. If you catch my drift.

And that goes for everyone, talk to your tulpas more people. And if they don't talk yet. Then what are you worrying about? Force!

There are few things more confusing in this life, than trying to figure yourself out.

>The tulpa that I created this account for no longer wants it. So not having an account myself, ill take it.<

Maybe the fact you started forcing has fortified your sense of self making it difficult to switch to other personalities, perhaps try talking to your tulpa as one of your characters? Show it (for lack of gender) around your paracosm.

It never dawned on me that I could actually have tulpas in any of my characters. I actually tried forcing all of the current characters that I play (there's 5 of them) and they easily came into being. I forced in my room and every last one of them stood around my bed, clear as day. I introduced them to RachLynn and everyone was very friendly!

I don't think I will let her possess me like the others because she has a different purpose but she can definitely interact with them. I am so excited! Thanks everyone for your advice on this and thanks Wrath on the suggestion to try turning them into tulpas and vice versa!
