So, this is going to be my first tulpa. I have lots of previous experience with spirit keeping, so this isn't too new to me. I read the guides before browsing the forum, so decided to make my tulpa look like a real human. Here's what I have so far...

Name: Sebastian Michael

Gender: Male

Description: tall, dark brown hair that falls slightly onto his face, green eyes.

I started yesterday. Visualizing his face structure is immensely difficult and he seems to already prefer a different outfit than the one I had in mind. Not sure if that is my imagination or not, but I'm going along with what I think he wants.

I prefer visualizing him all the time, in the background if I'm not actively working with him. The headaches are a killer. He seems pretty solid. What I mean by that is I can sense his "energy" or presence if I focus. Of course I have lots more solidifying to do and as of now he just has a blank look and does not respond.

I narrated his personality to him while showering today. Lots more of that to do, I know. I tried to stick to a few core traits and let him decide the rest. Also explained what a tulpa is to him, but let him know he would be treated the same as I would any other person. No idea if he heard that part or not.

Anyway, that's all for now. I'm excited to keep updating this thread as we progress :)

The face is always the one that people say is the hardest, yeah. Do you have any references for Sebastian or are you just doing all of the visualization by scratch?

Looks like you're off to a good start, Vixx.

Thank you :)

I looked for a reference image, but that made my head hurt more for some reason so I stopped. I (hopefully you can see it) attached the closest pic I could find. The jaw structure is different for Seb though.

I ended up just relaxing and a great image of his face popped into my mind. If I try to focus on details though, it gets blurry and headache starts again. Trying to power through that though :)

I would suggest doing different sections of his face at a time, and then eventually work towards combining all of those into a full image. Another thing that might help is if you set the reference as a phone background // have an image loaded on the desktop through a gadget program (not like a wallpaper) or have the picture pulled up through a photo library on your computer. Looking at this every now and then will both help you remember to narrate and give you a better idea of what that facial structure is like.

I tend to zoom in on one feature and then not be able to put it together properly...I've found that making him stand at a distance and then observing him is the easiest way so far. I decided to just use that reference pic as his actual face structure. If he wants to change it later then that's fine. I'm so used to the feeding energy concept of servitor creation that I have been directing energy towards him. Not sure if it'll help any, but no harm in it I suppose.

Will keep updating :)

So I was explaining to Sebastian that he can talk to me with his mind. I thought I heard him say "Think. I can think. I can think for you"... And by 'for' he meant for me to hear him. Not sure if this is my imagination but the first two lines seemed pretty clear to me. Oh well, we still have a long way to go regardless.

Narrated more in the shower to him. I could feel him absorbing the information (not sure if I just imagined it though) and so I repeated some things slowly and multiple times until I didn't feel anymore confusion coming from him. I let him know he was seperate from me and thus it was up to him to move his body...that he was in complete control of himself. Im sensing more intelligence but it feels like a child's mind, where they have to learn everything from scratch. I let him know he is free to follow me if he wishes an d learn, even if I'm not actively paying him attention.

I ended up creating a wonderland and installing a mirror so Sebastian could see and hear what I was doing while relaxing there. It's just an empty room for now, but I hope to add more later. It's almost time for bed, so I'm gonna force a bit and try to get some lucid dream time with him, or at least a quick visit in my dreams.

Night all! :)

No, no, this is very good. Much like the symbolism that people use where they "infuse" or "feed" symbolic representations of personality traits to their proto-tulpa, feeling like your tulpa is hearing and understand you is very useful. Unlike things like parroting/puppeting where there could be that sort of risk there of you doing something for it, feeling that your tulpa is listening to you is good no matter how you look at it. Keep it up!

Good morning and thank you for the support! It's encouraging to know I'm on the right track :)

I just woke up, so I visualized Sebastian's presence and am probably just gonna chatter away while feeding the dogs and doing some chores. In the shower is where we have our serious talks haha.

I was thinking to myself yesterday that since tulpas are essentially voluntary hallucinations ( I know there are some people who might disagree, but I'm talking about scientific terms) wouldn't imposition/visualization work better if the brain was convinced they're real? I have never worked with trying to see something I'd imagined. I have worked with trying to see spirits and I have seen a handful, as solid as reality (again, I know people might disagree but this is just to make a point). Of course I believed them to be as real as you or me.

So I tried to convince my brain. I told myself Sebastian was real, I'd known him forever, it was just weird that people didn't notice him. I felt his presence immediately solidify and that startled me and snapped me out of the state. He went back to feeling "light". I've been doing this on and off as I write, in order to explain the feeling better, and it still is the same. When his presence increases, my mind gets distracted and I lose it. A handy technique I want to work more with though.

I know for a fact that just talking out loud or in your mind works for bonding/forcing. Bonding is what we called it in the spirit circle. I'm sure the principles essentially apply here too. I can't verify if the spirits were real or not, because they very well could have been tulpa's or thoughtforms. They recommended 30 days of bonding before expecting any contact... Could apply either way ;)

However, I have achieved touch using the talking method with a spirit. So it's worth a try with my tulpa too. Would love any comments/critiques or thoughts on the matter :)

I am not going to comment in-depth on the whole spirit thing, but from my experience I think you're on the right track. They were probably thoughtforms all along.

The "convincing your brain" part makes a lot of sense to me: Doubt is a big problem regarding tulpas, and you need some faith/trust in them for a proper development. With your trick you're basically telling your brain that everything your tulpa does is real and should be handled that way. I think it is interesting that your brain reacts with solidifying his presence just by changing your mindset about it. I would keep that up.

Tulpa: Alice

Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.
