Slushie Tries to Free Lucy from Her Block of Marble

I guess I'll start this now that I'm finally making real forward progress, for the first time since I got into this in April. Hopefully having a thread to report in regularly will get me to stop procrastinating. (spoilersnoitwon't)

The form, as I decided on from the start, will be a fairly normal human young woman. The working name for the time being will be Lucy.

Lately what I've been doing is fleshing out the personality before I start forcing. Right now the general outline I have is that she is a curious person, adventurous to the degree of impulsive and always analytical and full of questions. She isn't very extroverted, but she is eloquent and very frank and candid, with an almost snarky sense of humor. She has an easy-going attitude, and is compassionate for all things and generally optimistic despite how she acts sometimes.

The plan is to weave all the traits I've lined up (about 30) together in a web of interaction, as well as loosely following Dane's template for further development. I will also be looking at expanding on the "multiple intelligences" angle. Once I'm confident in the final product, I'll start using a typical forcing method for the personality until I'm confident I've recognized sentience. Then further development and narration until she's vocal. Then I'll work on a form, then imposition. Tulpa-by-numbers. What could go wrong.

The wonderland I had in mind was based on the Li River valley, but lately I'm thinking I might replace that with one based on a more generic (but still pretty) valley from around here for the sake of simplicity/familiarity.

On the side, there's a bit of wire wrapped into a makeshift ring I'd been using as a reality-check reminder, that I also started using as a reminder to narrate, back when I thought narrating would be beneficial at this early a stage. I didn't intend to keep using it once I developed the current plan, but it's sort of become a habit to treat it as if it *is* Lucy and narrate to it without thinking on occasion. Just a side note in case this has any bearing on future developments. Probably won't.

And off we go, on the greatest adventure I've undertaken (since psilocybin).

Astral project on my face, brother!
