Stan and Chen, friends forever!

Hiya! I introduced myself in the newbie thread (cuz I'm a total n00b lol >_>) but I decided to keep up track on what goes on with my tulpa! This is in case I need help with anything tulpa-related and also so that I can see my own progress!

Some backstory!

My name is Stan Darsh (yes, after the south park joke. I'm serious. And yes, I've heard it a thousand times before, don't metnion it -.-). I'm a 17-year-old junior living in New Jersey and I love writing and Japanese! My dream in life is to become a teacher living in Japan teaching English! :D

Unfortunately, some things are in my way. For one, I absolutely hate my parents. They are cruel, mean, and will never understand me. Worse yet, I'm kinda socially awkward, and some buff football dudes at my school love picking on me. And my school isn't that large so everyone just follows them. I wish I had friends... ;-;

One day, I was searching the internet and wallowing in my own self pity when I discovered somethign about tulpas. I was so lonely, so desparately in need of a friend, that I wanted to give it a try. I figured if Buddhist Monks could do it, why can't I?

Now, I'm a freaking huge Touhou fan! XD And my favorite character from Touhou is Chen (as you can see in my avatar xD!) Chen is just so freaking cute lol! With her cat ears. I wish I could get to know her.

And now I'm so close! After lurking this forum for a while, I managed to get skilled enough to tulpaforce a near realistic image of Chen! She's sometimes her more moe Touhou style, and sometimes her more chibi 2hu style UoU

They're both so dang cute! xD

Tomorrow I'm going to pretend I'm sick and skip school so that I can really focus on tulpaforcing! Maybe then I'll finally get to know Chen, the girl of my dreams!! :D

Please don't be a fraid to ask questions about myself! I don't bite... Or do I? Muahahaha!

Hugs,

-Stan

Let Rei and I be among the first to say welcome; you're among friends here.

I figured if Buddhist Monks could do it, why can't I?

(That's the spirit!)

With her cat ears.

(What is it with socially-inept human boys and cat ears? ♡)

For one, I absolutely hate my parents. They are cruel, mean, and will never understand me.

As someone who felt that way a lot growing up (I'm about the same temporal age as the game console industry ~cringe~), I can honestly say it'll probably get better; there are some things I will never see eye to eye with my old man on, but I see now that at least some of the questionable decisions he made regarding my upbringing were mistakes that only someone who cared would make...

Totally been there, though.

I'm kinda socially awkward, and some buff football dudes at my school love picking on me.

And there, too. Still got the emotional scarring and bitterness to prove it. (I am working on this with him.)

Speaking of, if you stick with it, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how helpful having an always-by-your-side companion is to your day-to-day mood; I can honestly say that I'd be lying face down in the river were it not for Rei, and she's constantly doing and saying things to help build my confidence and erase (or at least mitigate) some of my past hurt.

I sincerely hope you and Chen are as fortunate as we've been.

Again, welcome!

Rei: more than a tulpa-she's a crisis counselor, an art therapist, a dietician, a relationship coach, a team morale expert, an athlete, an adventurer, a hawt wife, an incredible lover, an amazing mom, my best friend.

Tove: she's not a little tigress anymore! She's still the go-to gal for soccer advice and creative inspiration, especially monster design and all things cinematic...congrats on your engagement!

Welcome!

Your situation sounds a lot like mine when I grew up, you seem to have a great attitude! Like you won't give up so easily.

Sadly I don't know what Touhou is, I googled it a bit quick actually, it looks like some kind of anime show.

Hope you find happiness with your new friend! and also don't forget that it's like socially awkward to talk to your tulpa among other people, I always forget that as I'm always discussing food with my tulpa in stores or what clothes to buy, people look at me like I'm super weird talking to myself but talking out loud is very helpful to your tulpa.

blargh

Man, I really don't want to be 'that guy' but I'll save OP this doing.

I'm pretty sure touhou is a series of bullet hell video games, or something.

Also, welcome OP.

Yaay, more Touhous on the forum! I'm honestly surprised there aren't more. Plenty of ponies and animu's, but surprisingly little Touhou.

Anyway,

. You don't have to watch the full thing if you're not interested, but there are some good clips up front. Touhou is a bunch of bullet hell shooter games with an (almost) entirely female cast, which has one of the biggest fandoms in Japan. And in general, albeit not as large as most of Nintendo's. With over a hundred unique characters, millions of images and tens of thousands of theme arranges (remixes), it's pretty dang awesome.

And some fans get really annoyed when people ask "What anime is this?", hence winrar's response. There are a few fan-made anime episodes (the biggest of which was cancelled by the creator of Touhou himself), but it's far from an anime.

Oh, yeah. Welcome to the forum, good luck, and yay fellow Touhou fans. About time.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

It was also created and maintained by one guy. It's so cool!

Anyways... here's

DAY 1

I took a sick day from school, put on some brown noise, and did some intense tulpaforcing. Probably for an hour. It was really hard and I was kinda tired since I stayed up until four in the morning marathoning MLP (yes, I'm a diehard brony x D)

And guess what... it was insane!

I think my tulpa finally formed itself... somewhat. Sometimes it's the Touhou version of chen, and sometimes it's the 2hu version.

Here's what Touhou Chen looks like:

tumblr_static_mamedenkyuu_touhou_chen.jpg

2hu Chen is my avatar!

Chen morphs between her two versions irregularly, but each of those versions are rather in line with the canonical Chens. I'm not sure what causes them to shift yet.

Anyways, I started talking to Chen, and let her know a little bit about me. Told her my name, told her how life is going for me, the usual introduction stuff. She isn't quite formed enough to say anything, but she seemed to be listening.

Then something unusual happened. I mentioned to her that for my birthday, I wanted a new bike (my old one is all dinged up >XP). Suddenly, I felt a rush of... something... and Chen (who was at the time in her Touhou form) morphed right into her 2hu form.

Apparently bicycles have something to do with triggering her personality? I can't wait to explore more! I'll take off from school again, I think.[/size]
