The creation of Seren

Hi everybody!

So, I first knew about tulpamancy back in March and was fascinated by it. I finally decided to make one today after thinking a lot about it.

Anyway, this is my progress report.

I'm assuming sentience from the beginning.

December 27, 2015.

So, we first started with the greeting stage. I introduced myself to Seren and talked to her about me and what we'll be doing for the following months.

I explained her the whole creation process and then i let her know she can deviate as much as she wants. Also, I told her I wasn't sure about her name (I do love Seren, it means 'star' S2, but still not sure) so i also encouraged her to change it if she wants.

We are skipping the personality step. Not because I'm lazy (I won't be lazy about forcing her), but because I want her to develop one of her own.

I can't either think of a form for her, so she'll be the one to decide wheter she wants to look like a human, an anime character, an animal, or whatever. Once we develop a yes/no system of communication, i'll ask her.

So I told her all these things today and we also started creating our wonderland. There we have a library which represents my subconscious and memories, and I told her she can read as much as she wants.

We also have a guitar and a piano. I gave her some guitar classes! Maybe she'll be able to play there soon.

I hope to be doing everything just fine so far.

That's pretty much everything for today. We'll be mostly narrating for the following days, I'll be updating frequently. Thank you for reading and let me know if you think we're doing something wrong :)

Currently working on Seren, so that she gets to shut me up frequently.

Seren is a beautiful name! It reminds me of serenity, which I believe is where you came up with it?

I'm not going to listen to you guys since you are all probably just talking to yourself and don't really have a tulpa like me.

Seconded, really like the name Seren. Good luck to you two.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Paranoid Llama: i was actually looking up names that meant certain words and with the word "star" i found Seren and well I loved it :)

Second day with Seren! We had another active forcing session today. It lasted an hour, and consisted of narrating mostly. I've decided to talk to her about every single person I know (family, friends,...) when active forcing. I also tried to practice my mind's eye so while I was narrating I would picture Seren. We were in our wonderland, sitting on the grass, in the middle of a forest. I tried to feel the grass with my fingers during the whole session. We did all these with some nature sounds as background music (there was the sound of water flowing so I created a river next to us; also birds singing) and it really helped me to focus on Seren. Sadly, I tend to get distracted frequently, so I have to practise that yet.

We're also passive forcing throughout the day. Instead of reading a book, I played a song for her with my guitar! It was like: "Seren this is one of the first songs I learned to play with my guitar", and started playing and singing while thinking of her. I am sure she listened (and hated my singing for sure, lol).

That's all for today. I'll try to do some more active forcing tonight before sleeping.

PS: Today while active forcing, after a while, my head started hurting. It felt like a simple headache at first, but then I realized I kind of felt it more in the left part of the brain than in the right one. I'd assume it's way too soon yet so I don't believe it was head pressure though. Still, I wanted to ask you guys, what do you think? It was just a headache?

I'd say it's a bit too early to tell right now. It'll be easier to tell if you just wait a bit and if it persists at certain times. In the meantime, try some orange juice :D.

Oh, orange juice. I had read something about that, I'll start drinking some before active forcing and see if it works, thank you!!!

Narration is getting easier little by little. I couldn't manage to active force today since I had a pretty busy day; we did some passive forcing though.

While travelling by bus, I read Lovecraft to Seren. Focusing both on her and what I was reading was not that hard; what I did was visualize us in wonderland where I was reading the story to her (I wasn't able to keep that image all the time while reading, of course, but I did picture it every minute).

I also tried to narrate while listening to actual music. Sadly, I found it pretty distracting, specially if it's not instrumental. We won't give up on that anyway.

Tonight I'll try to go to bed pretty earlier than usual and active force as much as I can.

From now on, whenever I want/have to read anything, I'll be reading it to her. I believe it's really helpful and I really enjoyed it today.

I feel closer and closer to you as time goes by, Seren, I hope we get to communicate with each other soon, any way you want!!

December 30, 2015.

Fourth day with Seren! We had lots of fun today :) I dedicated nearly my whole afternoon to her. I played a couple more songs to her and we read another Lovecraft story. We did some active forcing as well, and will surely do some more before bed.

I've noticed a couple of things that I'd like to point out:

-Do tulpas usually start moving/acting on their own before communicating?

Sometimes when I'm practising visualization and I imagine us going on an adventure she does things which I believe are NOT product of my puppeting (I do puppet a little in fact, but I only make her walk or smile... and sometimes she does other things...)

The thing is, half a second before she does the "unusual" thing, I know what she'll do... But I've read this is bacause of my thoughts and hers not being separate enough yet. Having said that, should I assume that these actions are purely done by her?

-How does head pressure exactly feel like?

Almost everytime I'm active/passive forcing, I get a headache. I can tell when it's a regular headache since I feel it between my eyes and is, for sure, something I've felt before.

Some other times, anyway, I get a particular feeling, maybe like a... "poking"? I don't know, I can't find the words to explain how it feels. All I can say is: it's not like a regular headache (and no, I highly doubt it's some serious and unsual headache or something like that, if head pressure doesn't feel like something poking in a parcitular part of your head maybe it's just that I'm unable to explain myself)

Ps: I've started "using" my real body to make forcing feel more real. For example: when I feel like scratching an itch, I do it both in the real world and in my mind. When I'm under water, I stop breathing in the real world until I reach the surface in my visualization. Do you think this is a good or a bad idea?

Thank you for reading!

Oh, I got that a lot early on when I was communicating with Sceena. I'm glad to say that it's probably your tulpa, but skepticism is probably still good to have at this point. Ask Seren to surprise you sometime, and see what happens.

I guess this might be Seren? Maybe you could ask her to replicate the feeling.

I don't see why it wouldn't be a good idea. It feels to me like you're trying to force yourself to get immersed into your imagination. It's not a bad idea, but I don't think this'll help.
