Pax Lator March 15, 2013 Share March 15, 2013 *slowly stepping in for the first time* Hello! I was lurking around for the better part of last month, started up a tulpa and swore to myself I would not register here until she was vocal. Needless to say, I just broke that vow. And this here was the reason. Played around with the site's logo, which I found in the General Suggestions Thread, and came out with a decent-ish wallpaper. Resolution is 1920x1080, if anyone is interesed in something smaller/bigger, do tell, and I'll be glad to edit. Critics appreciated - I'm too new doing this kind of thing as it is! EDIT: The wallpaper is still a work-in-progress, so you may want to check posts downstairs to get different, improved versions For your convenience, here are ALL the versions. I'll replace the link here once I get a definitive design. Please note you run the risk of being an adorable technicolor equine for the rest of your days. GuessWho March 16, 2013 Share March 16, 2013 Why should I (or anyone else, for that matter) use that over my PC's default wallpaper...? I haven't bothered to put something prettier on my screen, so why would I mak the effort for something more plain...? No offense intended, but I just don't see te point. I dunno, maybe someone that likes the design of the pic could consider using it. Personally, I was looking for something similar in the forums before deciding to make one myself, since I couldn't find anything. Guest EnnervateIndustries March 16, 2013 Share March 16, 2013 The fading to black is unbalanced from being only on the left side of a central object of focus, but nice otherwise.
Pax Lator March 17, 2013 Author Share March 17, 2013 The fading to black is unbalanced from being only on the left side of a central object of focus, but nice otherwise. I was trying to go for a out-of-focus light source effect, but now that you mention it, it does look unbalanced. Thanks for the tip. historical March 17, 2013 Share March 17, 2013 needs more lens flare. And blur. And hipster yellow hue-verdose. Then it will be ready for the internet >.> I actually like it, its just a little too dark though. I had to turn up my monitor's brightness just to see it. I felt like I was in a videgame again. Adjusting the brightness and shit. fourfiction, the idiot.
cruse March 18, 2013 Share March 18, 2013 I'd say the art work is kinda off the point considering the subject we're dealing with. Wouldn't it be better to try to symbolize the concept of tulpa into the wall paper instead? Y'know... like making a faint reflection to represent the tulpa coming from your own mind. But it doesn't have to be necessarily like that. Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

Lacquer March 18, 2013 Share March 18, 2013 I'm not sure why one would make or use this, but it looks nice.
Pax Lator March 18, 2013 Author Share March 18, 2013 ...its just a little too dark though. I had to turn up my monitor's brightness just to see it. Got it. Making it a bit brighter and changing a couple of stuff. Wouldn't it be better to try to symbolize the concept of tulpa into the wall paper instead? Y'know... like making a faint reflection to represent the tulpa coming from your own mind. But it doesn't have to be necessarily like that. I was thinking about something similar when I started, but considering the amount of shapes a tulpa can take, I though that maybe something more general for the whole site would be better. 'Sides, I had no idea of how to make something like that. Wow the wallpaper looks so... Serious. Sort of the tone I intended it to be. I'm not sure why one would make or use this, but it looks nice. Replied to something similar to this earlier, but hey, thanks! Thank you for the feedback guys, really appreciate it. Okay. So after tinkering it for a while I've got two more versions. The first one has a lighter color on the blue gradient, and the second one changes the gradient style entirely, to account for the "central object of focus". Feedback is, as always, appreciated.
