Tulpa without a name?

Mage

Recommended Posts

I've been forcing my tulpa for a while and he seems to be (kind of) sentient. I didn't give him a name because I wanted him to choose one for himself, but he insists he would prefer to be nameless. His reason is that I'm the only one interacting with him and doesn't want me to tell anyone his existence (excluding from this forum) so he doesn't need a name.

Could being nameless affect my tulpa in negative way?

(English isn't my first language, I hope you can still understand this post)

I highly doubt that any consequences would come from this. The only problem I see that could potentially arise is just some confusion when talking. It won't harm your progress at all though, as far as I can tell.

[align=center]Even though my username is that of my tulpa, Quilten, my name is Phaneron, the host, who does all of the actual posting.

I was just worried it would cause problems with sentience/I would accidentally create a clone of him or something (also the fact I haven't read about other permanently nameless tulpas). Thanks!

I'm not really sure why he would want to be nameless, especially if you plan on spending lots of time with him when he's imposed. I came up with he name Prince before I ever started. But I don't think it would hurt, but it would make it a lite harder to talk to him clearly, maybe you could compromise on something, maybe you could simply call him Nameless? Either way, that's for you two to work out, if at all needed.
