Tulpaforcing to sleep

Recommended Posts

So I started tulpaforcing a few days ago, and since I have trouble falling asleep I thought it would be a good idea to tulpaforce to tire myself out. I was successful, but is this a healthy practice?

Not if you start to involve the tulpa in your dreams.

While tulpaforcing is generally a tiring process, you don't want to do it while tired because of potential lack in productivity. But if you were looking to make yourself tired I guess it would be fine as long as you did not fall asleep while tulpaforcing. Note that the negative connotations from this have only been reported by a couple people (myself, monkey dog boy and some anons back when the threads were still on /x/), but I'd assume you would like to avoid any risk if possible.

Process of creation basically requires being in control of your actions. Falling asleep makes you lose this control. It may lead to something positive and interesting. But as well, it may lead to exact opposite of this. I can imagine many negative probable results, and only one positive. This one is allowing your creation to unleash from your conscious control, for a really short time. It may result in sudden acceleration in deviation process. Anyway. I wouldn't try it. But It's My personal opinion. Feel free to experiment.

I fell asleep while tulpaforcing at night one time last week. No idea about dreams, since I never remember them and my tulpa isn't talking yet. But for the next day, the usual "connection" I feel when talking to her was all but gone. I think something happened that scared her. I apologized profusely to her and we were about back to normal the next day.

So, probably not a good idea, but not disastrous either.

Ever since I've started working on my tulpa my dreams have greatly increased in lucidity and detail.

I also find myself narrating between dreams...

I was woken up too early today, so I tulpaforced for about an hour then went back to sleep, only to have a couple of really vivid lucid dreams.

Tulpaforcing while very tired makes my thoughts a bit too random and focusing is too difficult.

Hmm, I just now realized that this might be somewhat relevant, so I'm a bit late to post this, but..

The other day, this happened (excerpt from my tulpaforcing Tumblr):

I think it might have been hypnagogia because of lack of sleep (actually, IÂ'm pretty sure it was), but I thought that I was sitting on the bench that Brook and I usually sit on when I visualize her, and I was staring at my knee in near perfect detail, when I suddenly realized with surprise that my eyes werenÂ't open (and that I was still sitting on the couch at home).  It was the weirdest feeling.  It was like my imaginary eyes were open and it gave this weird empty feeling to my physical, closed eyes.  ItÂ's so hard to explain.

When I realized that I was imagining it all, I looked up and visualized Brook sitting next to me, with better detail and proportions than ever before.  I smiled and immediately the tiredness melted away.  The clearness faded throughout the next 20 minutes, but it felt productive nonetheless.

I know that hypnagogia often happens before sleep unless one falls asleep quickly..

Just wondering if maybe visualizing through the hypnagogic stage of falling asleep would make it feel more productive, or something.

I've also had lucid/vivid dreams almost every night that I tulpaforce. I'm not sure if it's the tulpaforcing or the isotones that I use as the main cause though.

I remember having been in a similar state a few times some weeks ago when I'd sit on the couch and be in this feeling of halfway to dreamland and reality. Flashes of shit came up in fine detail. I should try doing this again but while tulpaforcing. Oh, and I was really tired those days when it happened, kinda like you.
