Can I get away with minimal visualization

I seem to have bad visualization problems and i cant do it excessively. I used to have very good visualization when i was making my mlp tulpa but it fell back around 2016 or so. However my mindvoice is good and i can narrate really well. Ive been describing my tulpa daily rather than actually visualizating/imposing as much. Is it acceptable if i can just describe my tulpa more than imposing? I do visualize/impose a tad bit but not so much.

You don't have to visualize her at all. Not all Tulpas have forms, and they only communicate using mind voice and Tulpish.

If you are okay with your own visualization ability, go for it! You may need more practice, but no one is going to judge you if you feel like you can't visualize "good enough".

I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron.

My other headmates have their own account now.

Just to clarify, my new tulpa is a boy and my old one from 2013 2014 is a girl.

I feel like despite my ability, he will have a form because i still do visualize every now and then just not very hard enough because i simply cant.

I want to understand your decline in visualization... it was good, now it's not... How did it become good in the first place? If it was naturally there, then it seems like it would naturally still be there. If you developed it, re-developing it should be easier than developing it from scratch. If I compare it to playing the piano, I started no skill, built some reasonably descent skills, stopped playing for 25 years and have discovered, I can't play anything I use to play, even remotely well... but, if I had the time, the intention, I am pretty sure I could reclaim the pieces I knew well... Maybe even improve on them, because I would be adding life attributes like emotions and nuance that I lacked when I was younger... Short of tumor, concussion, spikes through the brain, lobotomies, strokes, illness, aging, drugs (and the myriad of variables that attend to that,) an ability should continue, not wax and wane with the moon, though there are circumstantial and situational caveats that might decrease ability to focus, temporary things that resolve with situational resolution and or, increased intention to focus... So, oh, forgive the rambling, I don't understand this piece... It's taking more effort and you're wanting not to focus on unwraping the chocolate, but get right to eating chocolate?

All of that aside, I second Ranger's statement 'you don't have to visualize at all.' Though I have not heard of a blind person having a tulpa, I believe blind people can have tulpas, and if they're blind from birth, they would likely have underdeveloped visual centers in the brain, and though maybe inner 'visualization' isn't necessarily occipital lobe related, I suspect it is, mostly, not absolutely, but even 'under-developed' is not 'absent!' The brain always utilizes what it has, in mine auditory is primary... So, your brain works just fine. Practice the guides and your skills, and the brain will give you results. Persistence is the greatest tool in your arsenal.

I'm sorry. What's his name?

Like imposition or anything, if you don't use it, you lose it! It's possible you're out of practice and just need more time.

My host struggled with visualization for the same reason. Sometimes the brain is tired and you simply need a break too.

Some will say you don't need it, but it helps with a lot of the tools of tulpamancy. Those who may disagree have gone through the additional effort. I'd agree thar visualization is an important and valuable enhancement to tulpamancy not the only way, my advice is just to practice daily, 20 minutes or so is enough to continuously increase your skill.

Thanks, everyone. Ill try to take a break from tulpamancing and practice visualization. I found a good guide for it

Visualization is optional, and generally considered to be somewhat difficult. If you want to impose or make a wonderland, it becomes a bit required however.

Yo, my name is Sean and I'm the host of 2 tulpas: Sente and Mae. You'll know when they're talking because Sente talks in yellow text and Mae talks in blue text.

You don't have to "take a break from tulpamancing" to practice visualization lol, might as well do both at the same time like us

but yes absolutely you can get away with minimal visualization, our visualization clarity is really really bad but we still use it anyway (even for imposition), and it works out fine (but yes, practice visualizing consistently and it'll get better)

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal!
