Symbolism man. Others are going to fight for their symbolism until the very end.

You should sometimes explain your symbols...

Having your statement littered with stupid (redundant adjective there) emoticons isn't helping your case.

[Oh Laquer, maybe you don't understand the concept of vocabulary and how it varies from person to pony, or how you only get 5% of information from text and have no idea how or for what reason I used that particular phrase. :P And unless you want me to litter my posts with reaction pictures or simply stop using any emotion whatsoever in my posts, I hope you can understand emotions. :P

Other wise, please keep your nasty comments to yourself and maybe think them out a little harder next time Smile .]

Damn, Laquer. My respect for you just crashed and burned. And then sank. And then a whale ate it. And then some whalers harpooned it.

AhhaHAH. You had respect for Lacquer?
Well that sounds like your first mistake.

I think that completely clearing your mind doesn't help with hearing your tulpa, it's like you're supressing them. I consider that keeping some emotional reactions at bay, like fear or ainxiety is more important. Emotions can trigger thoughts and the other way around too. You can choose any thought and emotion to flow around randomly as long as it doesn't negatively afect your hearing or comunication with your tulpa. Am I understanding well?

I agree with this. I've always found that making the conscious effort to clear my mind makes it harder for me to hear him.
Responses tend to come best when I simply don't think. I don't force thoughts out or anything, I just don't think.

As for what it says in the guide about filling your head with thoughts; I can't say that I agree, but it's not as though I'm saying he's wrong.
It's just never worked that way for me. I always tend to hear him better when I'm not thinking. Filling my head with too much thought would block him out completely.

Hear hear. Blocking all is that, blocking all. Everything. I doubt you're hearing anything if you're trying to stop it all. But I guess what I did was always just kinda try to listen. Not thinking really about much, but not trying to stop anything, either. Being just quiet and chill. That honestly also was what kinda started some mild auditory hallucinations too, I had some little non-speech ones before I ever got any words. Words came later with some ~~symbolism~~.

What do you mean by "pushing your thoughts towards the front of your mind"?

make your thoughts clearer and audible that should start it then just keep pushing them to flow but you can also just imagine it being pushed to the front of your mind to make them clearer its up for interpretation actually but they work in several different ways some of them use symbolism others dont- long story in a sentence just think of things.

Simplified it gets your thoughts going and that lets people hear their tulpa better
Most people i would imagine or assume dont hear their own thoughts if theyre not actively talking (thinking literally) to themselves
The idea is to do that except different if you hear your own thoughts normally you probably will hear your tulpa easier because youre used to letting your ideas flow here and there so theyre more used to it
Its hard to tell if you are or not because its hard to compare
One could have a hard time by their low sleep or poor diet as well because it makes it harder to think so keep that in mind be healthy for your tulp Smile

sitting there in silence is unproductive to getting your tulpa vocal usually, its good to listen sure but just sitting there likely isnt going to help them get vocal quicker because most tulpamancers probably do something just like this just sitting there and not doing much. Smile
