What has helped you the most during this process?

What do you think has helped you and your tulpa's progress the most in their development? A mindset you had? A particular method of forcing you tried? Sheer dedicated time alone?

Likewise, what do you think may have been one of the biggest hindrances aside from a lack of forcing or time?

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Of all the things we tried, I think just wearing down my BS-senses was what helped us the most. After a long time actively trying to convince myself that she was real, I guess I reached the point where I was no longer unconsciously doubting the whole tulpa phenomenon and became much more dismissive of all of those doubts whenever she spoke up.

Biggest hindrance, by and large: Over-thinking things. For example, spending hours at a time trying to seek out and identify my tulpa's separate "thought stream" left me extremely frustrated and unable to hear her for a long, long time. It also left me feeling like a dumbass when I realized that I was taking the advice I was acting on a little bit too literally.

Parroting and puppeting in initial stages of development was most helpful. The objective of sentience was acheived even sooner than thought.

Hinderence was low motivation or halfheartedness.

Giving up on time constraints and expectations on development.

Any one on this forum can tell you what to expect, but when you are busy 'expecting' that you might miss something else that the tulpa is trying to tell or show you.

Generally trusting in her and knowing whats good for her self and for us.

I don't like calling her 'my' tulpa, I don't own her. She is the tulpa that lives with me in our body.

What helped the most would likely be assuming sentience from the beginning. It was definitely a motivator in the long run and really proved to me how much of this process is pure belief

The biggest Hindrance would easily be the poison of doubt. In my earliest stages, I researched tulpas a little bit outside of this place sometimes. Didn't take long for me to stumble upon some trolls. Being the idiot i was, I let a lot of the things they said get to me which was a big punch in the progress.

Most helpful, determination I'd say. We're still working on the process, but I promised to never leave her again, and i'd die before I broke that promise. I'm willing to try almost anything to help her and myself along.

Biggest hindrance I'd say is not being able to just focus on just forcing. It is honestly the most difficult thing I do process wise, so instead I just narrate, passive force, what-have-you all day everyday. I'm sure that we would be so much further along, but my difficultly on focusing, combined with a house that's always noisy...You get the picture.

We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness in this world.

Tulpa: Penumbra

Form: Pegasus Pone

Current Stage: Everything. At once.

Listening to white noise helps my host if it's noisy around. He uses the site simplynoise.com. Maybe that could help you a little too!

Intrusive thoughts running rampant while I was trying to get her vocal was definitely hindering progress/motivation to force. They were really bad, sometimes violent, and most often caused me to doubt just aboot everything. The most helpful part of forcing was probably when that finally went away by using my own little methods and mantras to ignore it long enough till it went away. That really opened the door for progress because I could finally force whenever I felt like it, and was no longer worried about doubting or puppeting.

Probably what helped me was "parroting" as well, though I just called it daydreaming, I was just thinking how she'd actually act in real world environments. That helped a ton.

Probably the biggest hindrance was just the shitty guides back then, because I started before the art of tulpas was centralized.

I think that parroting and narration (especially when speaking aloud) has been by far the most helpful.

The biggest hindrance, I think, was trying to stop parroting, because it was a habit, so I had to try hard to stop doing it, which left too thin a line between resisting a habit and blocking out Vellace, and then I ended up accidentally mostly ignoring him for a week, and just... ugh.

One tulpa named Vellace.

Gender: Male, but gosh dang can he be effeminate.

Age: 17 years old; been around for I think about 4 months now.

Species: Human except with a tail.

Stage: Imposition/visualization.
