Splooshie123 June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 Ok, so I'm thinking of making my tulpa sentient before starting on visualization or anything else. But it seems I'm going to get stuck along the way. I've finished personality but I only spent 15-20 minutes per trait, with 26 traits that would be 6.5-8.6 hours only. So I am repeating personality at 15 minutes per trait to get about 13 hours of forcing time. I have nearly finished repeating all the traits. I've also been doing narration when I don't have to focus on things like schoolwork or... using the computer. Is there anything else to be done aside from personality and narration to achieve sentience?
Bin June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 It's pretty much just narration. And personality stage is just to help you get a good feeling of the tulpa's personality. But the main thing is to just accept them as real living things, think about them constantly, and maybe how they feel about a certian situation (don't know if that's a really good or really bad thing to do). But I don't think you need to obssess over personality that much, like I said it's really just making a whole being and accepting it as alive and that's sorta it. And don't make the mistake of using "when" too much, there is no "when", like "when they can talk". It's all now. I think I just realized I've been making that mistake today. Splooshie123 June 23, 2012 Author Share June 23, 2012 Narration it is! Also, good tip about using present tense instead of future tense. I've noticed that when I narrate, it seems less of talking to myself and more like talking to someone else. Plus, I am not obsessing over personality. I just thought that ideally, about 16 hours should be spent on it.

What do you mean, exactly?

Try to "think" of them as done, like they're a person who just doesn't have the will to talk, or whatnot. And both, think and talk. Just make sure not to go overboard, like you know they can't but you have to think they are just not willing to or don't have it in them. It's a bit complicted, but the concept is simple if you get what I'm trying to say. I don't think this theory is wrong but maybe someone wants to input any that would be nice, maybe Clair would help. This thread is about treating your tulpa as sentient whether its complete or not.
