What to do in Narration?

So I'm thinking of doing some more varied forcing with Deortabe, with a focus on visualisation and narration. I've got the visualisation thing pretty figured out (It's just a matter of practising until I can get it right without my mind wandering), but I'm still not entirely clear on exactly what narration involves.

It seems like a good idea for me, seeing as I have a habit of talking to myself quite a bit already, but when I am narrating, would I need to also be visualising her as being present? Or would it be enough to just narrate with the mindset being that I am talking to her, rather than just voicing my thoughts aloud or reading things aloud to nobody in particular?

Everything is just a matter of practice until you can get it right without your mind wandering, unless you want to practice letting your mind wander.

Narration = talking to your tulpa about anything. Literally, anything. Tell them about your past, your future plans, people you love, hate, why you're happy or sad, your favorite music, food or books - read books or articles to them, tell them what you think of a show - the list goes on, and on, and on. There's no end to the things you can discuss with narration, as long as you're discussing something.

Yes, it's a good idea. Narration is key in getting your tulpa vocal. You want to talk to them after all, correct? Visualising her would most certainly help, seeing as that ensures that you're very aware of talking to her. It's not a requirement though - as long as you are directing your words at her. Whether you talk to her in your mindvoice or physical voice doesn't matter too much either, but physical voice is known to give better results, because it's easier to direct your words at someone rather than having them lost among your muddy thoughts. It also makes the things you say more directional.

Never talk to "nobody in particular" because; the point of narration is talking to your tulpa. They're not "nobody", considering them to be that would most likely hinder your progress. This is a practice where belief is key in making progress, but may also be the very thing hindering it. That's not enough of a reason to disregard it though, so, to summarize;

- You don't need to be visualising her there, no. It does help, and you /should/ be speaking to her "presence" at all times.

- It's enough to narrate with the mindset that you're talking to her, yes.

- You can narrate to her either mentally or physically, but physically tends to give better results (emphasizing "tends")

I recommend Linkzelda's guide.

I can not recommend it enough.

I'm flicking through it right now. It definitely does sound like something that would be very useful. Kinda funny when I think about, with a technique called 'narration', from reading most guides I didn't really get much of an idea of actually narrating something for me and Deortabe :P (As opposed to just talking to them about whatever). The music-association one in particular sounds awesome, since I listen to alot of fantasy-related music which would be ideal or creating little scenarios for us.
