Whats this called again? - pressure/tingling in head

I wanted to ask for a whild now. Whats it called when i have a tingle in my head where my tulpa would respond to me without using his voice? I tell him to talk to me with yes as pressuring my head with the left side and pressuring wuth the right for no. Was there some sort of guide i did that i stuck with forever? Is it common knowledge for tulpamancers to allow communication via head pressure? Where did I find this? It really has been a while now

That is called head pressure or head pressures. It is pretty common as an early form of communication with young, pre-vocal tulpas. Lots of the guides mention it.

Hope this helps! -J

It did, actually. I had no idea where I found this technique from (it's quite heartwarming to see him talk like this) but it's good to know it's been  in various  guides as I have been trying various guides.

It's been a long time since we've read any creation guides, but they do mention head pressure. Mine talks about how it can be possibly used as communication, though it doesn't explain how.

It's called a psychosomatic effect.

Certeinly could be, though rather than stress causing the pressure, it's possibly more about using pathways of the brain that are seldom used or making new ones quickly. We can't know for sure without actual research.

This is, however, an equally plausible model. It's only your own experience and belief that can assign it to your tulpa. I get minor head pressures all the time, making it so that I usually can't spin or shake my head fast without feeling them, so it wasn't really a positive verification for me. It still can be though, and some have used it for basic yes/no responses.

Im not really ever stressed that much. Whenever i ask him a question and i instruct him of using which side to respond i do get a headpressure, so its definitely my tulpa. Other times, i dont get any head pressure

Head pressure:  The power of suggestion after reading the testimonials from other tulpamancers and anticipating an effect?  :-)  Sorta, kiinda like a placebo effect?

I tilt my head back and forth when I talk.  It's a weird quirk I have always had that we think is related to my pigtails want to swing out and be all adorable (are my pigtails semi-independent sub-tulpas?  topic for laterness).  Anyways, when I tilt my head and talk, sometimes Mistgod's head follows along and he is walking around or sitting, tilting his head back and forth and nobody knows why.  It's not a head pressure, but well, I dunno I like to talk about myself and so I mentioned it.

Skeptical and unconvinced about independent sentience.

Could be, and it does work for some, it's perfectly valid communication.

OP,

You're safe to start proxying with mind voice at this point and especially you should be answering 'yes' and 'no' in your own mindvoice, preferably in their tone, in accordance with their answers.

Head pressures are usually temporary and go away after (or unfortunately sometimes before) your tulpa is vocal. The "non-speaking" communication method is called tulpish usually, which is when a tulpa (or heck, a host to a tulpa, even) communicates with pure thought and feelings and maybe intent, without the words. Getting feelings from your tulpas is IMO a nice way to communicate with your tulpa pre-vocality.

Head pressures are random in whether they occur at all or not for a system and for how long they'll last. My theory is they're caused by using new mental muscles you're not used to using - similar to getting headaches from trying to process a lot of new information or something. And again, not everyone really gets them. I think old guides overstated how important and common they were. Just recently we had someone whose head pressures disappeared before their tulpa became vocal, which makes me even more leery of head pressures as a communication method.

But I guess, if you've got'em, use'em. Vocality is important though, make sure to work on it regardless.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
