Will making a Tulpa compromise my fantasy world?

Recommended Posts

Hi, so first of all I'm new here! :) I had an kind of unusual question though..

Basically, for as long as I can remember, I have had a fantasy world in my head for me to escape to whenever I want. Its filled with different characters and worlds and such. My own character can change whenever I wish and I can drop the world and create whole new ones. I've met other people who do this. About a year ago I got more control over this world (because it came to the point that it was severely interfering with my life) and now freely enjoy as I wish.

Sorry for the long explanation. So my question is, if I create a Tulpa will this fantasy world disappear? Or will I no longer be able to visit it? The characters that exist in it are not as developed as a Tulpa, but I do not want them to disappear or fade or anything. Can this world and a Tulpa coexist?

Sorry if this seems strange! Thank you for any help!!!

Welcome to our forums!

Nobody has tried it yet, but I believe it is possible.

The Tulpa will probably start off as another person in your paracosm and develop like a Tulpa in what we consider "Wonderland". We haven't had a report of completely destroyed wonderlands yet, but a Tulpa can interact with it.

Since you seem to be very experienced with imagination, you should be able to see results early.

I'd say. Try it, and if you experience difficulties stop working on your Tulpa and ignore it.

I don't see why it would disappear. I have a very strong fantasy life too, and if I'm expecting my tulpa to also experience it.

Thank you! I'm hoping that my Tulpa will be eventually able to interact with these characters before I try imposing her (or him.. not sure yet haha) on the real world. If my fantasy world starts to disappear though, I will probably drop the Tulpa.

So have I, but I completely abolished it along with all of its characters when I started working on a tulpa, because it seemed counterproductive to perpetuate it. Perhaps I'll bring it back when I'm done, but I have little hope that it'll remain preserved for so long.

I've had a kind of preconstructed "Wonderland" of sorts for several years now too, and I'm happy to learn that people think it will be helpful, not counterproductive, to keep it. I was worried about this too, but was shy to ask. Glad someone else beat me to it.

Why would you be shy on a forum where the denizens are the kind of people to make hallucinatory sentient imaginary friends?
