Writing a Book

I'm writing a book about the mind and I want to include Tulpa creation in the book. I'm wondering if there is a copyright or is it forbidden for me to include the tulpa creation methods on this website in my book???

You should just ask for permission.

To who though?

ask the people who wrote the guides, or just use general information, but if you're gonna cite things you should probably ask/link to specific guides

if you just say things you know that's fine, but if you're gonna specifically recite you gotta cite

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

You don't need to ask permission because of implied fair use, and the context under which the guides are all published.

The one thing you need to do, as a serious matter of respect is ask permission before quoting them. However, there is no legal restriction on use of text that has been made publicly available. If a work is published commercially, or if there is any other licence agreement attached to the work, you can ignore this. The person has explicitly published the text.

In addition, you can paraphrase all you want. Just be aware that some of the text you have access to may not be publicly visible. Always check. In that case, it is a legal issue as well.

I advise you to stay away of the terms we often use here, like forcing, for instance, as I feel that'd just add confusion without any sort of pay-off. I'd even advise doing away with the term "Tulpa" altogether, or mentioning it only in passing.

I mean... If you want to write about tulpas, you should mention them by name. But terms like "wonderland" and "forcing" should be thought over before inclusion. Tulpa is tulpa, but those other terms are just sort of what we ended up using, by no means necessary to propagate if it means unnecessary (somewhat called for) resistance.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

I spoke with an Admin Kiah and he said it was fine to use the guides at this site. He didnt say anything about using the terms that are used here at all.

Honestly, I'd strongly advise you experienced it for yourself, and then wrote about it. Other people's experiences only gets you so far, and if all you're doing is copying or quoting other's work, then why even "write" a section on it?
