Spiritualgeek January 23, 2016 Share January 23, 2016 I don't have much time right now so I'll keep this short and sweet. In your wonderland, do you picture it in first person or third person? If it is third person, do you physically change at all? Thanks for your input in advance!
Vos January 23, 2016 Share January 23, 2016 Most host did third person at first, but transitioned into first person after some practice. Metatron January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 I started it in third person since it felt more natural, like when you are watching a movie and so can see the scenes and characters from different angles and perspectives. I then transitioned to first person for more immersion, though sometimes the camera angles are messed up and the "HUD" is not quite accurate to real life. And then there are times where it kind of shifts to third-person over the shoulder and stuff like that. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." -Aristotle "When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love." -Marcus Aurelius “Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” -Neil Gaiman "The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried." -Stephen McCranie
Guest Vixx January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 I started off with third person, but thought first would be more "real" (and superior for some reason) so have transitioned. I still accidentally switch back to third sometimes, but I fix it when I notice the switch. I've found first to definitely be *much* more immersive. Edit: Sometimes in third I do change my appearance. Or if I'm looking at a mirror in wonderland. I usually just add different clothes or accessories, since it is easier than importing the details of my real clothes... I haven't tried anything major like wings or a different body. It does sound fun though, so I probably will try soon. Thanks for the idea :)
Guest Anonymous January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 We do both first and third person, switching easily back and forth between various perspectives.
Spiritualgeek January 24, 2016 Author Share January 24, 2016 Thanks. I've just started and I'm straight in first with the odd "glitch" when I'm in third. In first I think I have the HUD problems mentioned by Metatron where it's like first person on call of duty. And thank YOU vixx for the idea of a complete physical makeover (gotta try that for role play)
Lacquer January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 This was one of the first issues I ran into when I came back here last month, so I went looking and compiled a list of potentially helpful links (that I still need to go through and read): [hidden] https://community.tulpa.info/thread-can-you-enter-your-wonderland?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-change-of-tactics?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-how-real-can-it-be?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-wonderland-how-to-interact?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-just-a-couple-questions?highlight=%223rd+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-misinterpretation-of-%e2%80%9cassuming-sentience-from-start%e2%80%9d-philosophy?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-visualization-perspective-of-the-wonderland?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-forcing-point-of-view-problems?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-questions-about-the-creation-phase?pid=125&highlight=%22third+person%22#pid125 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-wonderland-random-perspective?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-focus-concentration-removing-doubts-and-general-meditation-technique?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-wonderland-stable-environment?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-the-guide-of-pleeb?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-third-person?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-visualization-tulpa-sent-me-a-wonderland?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-visualization-visualisation-happening-as-third-person-view?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-visualization-visualization-vs-dreaming?highlight=%22third+person%22 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-wonderland-pov?highlight=%223rd+person%22[/hidden] My plan was to read through these and practice a bit before making a question (and posting these links along with the question to say I did my homework), but I never got past that first step due to procrastination.
