There doesn't seem to be many people here...

The subreddit is definitely more active.

The sub is more active but personally I think that the users there have more outlandish ideas about tulpa shit and I don't really post there often despite the tulpa sub being my introduction to reddit as a whole. Feels like the community there are way more gullible as far as believing any shit some person posts

We're all gonna make it brah.

This place is a ghost town... on sundays.

This is the forum attached to what is essentially the best primer on tulpas on the internet. It does not surprise me there is little activity. Unless you are here to do research on tulpas, there is not much to do.

Since I am averse to reddit, anyone have a list of active tulpa and soulbond communities? (In the event I want to socialise with other systems in the future.)

Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.

However, it also appears tulpa.info is being co-opted by other communities, specifically those involving mental disorders (the multiplicity/D.I.D. camps, Tumblr head-mates, et cetera) and even otherkin and soulbond groups.

We soulbonds co-opted nothing, and I'm not apologizing for participating here. If you think tulpa.info is a ghost town, you should see soulbonding communities.

https://tulpa.io/discuss/ and http://www.soulbonding.org/app.php/page/about I guess. Those are the most commonly associated places here. There's another tulpa forum too but I forget what it's called. None are too active though (compared to us even), they're just kinda side communities, with a lot of shared members. (The tulpa forums that is, I don't know what the soulbonding site is like)

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

@Joss:

if you're against the notion of co-opting tulpas and take offence to your kind being noted in this particular community's user composition, why are you here?

I don't think it's right to exempt those who may actually have tulpas in their "systems" or are here to further study who tulpas are as well as how they manifest and thrive. Yet being needlessly cross over your being present does not help the perception that you are encroaching.

I've seen good people bleed

And I thought I'd seen it all

But my own two eyes would prove me wrong that day.

There are things that I've done

Only seen by the sun

And those things will be buried in my grave.

There are so many things wrong with KarlYoshimura's question and the assumptions implicit within it.

1.  Many soulbonds would easily qualify as a tulpa.

2.  Sometimes a thoughtform can evolve or deviate from one category to another, for instance from soulbond to tulpa or median aspect to tulpa.  Many have reported having this happen.

3.  Sometimes a host isn't sure of the status of their thoughtform and is exploring that by being on the forum and writing and interacting (such as me with Melian).  Melian could easily qualify as a developing tulpa.  Maybe she is a tulpa?

4. People can be members of the forum without having a tulpa or even wanting to make a tulpa, they just have an active interest in tulpamancy.  They are welcome to write here.  It is a  public forum.  There have been quite a few persons on this forum, who did not have a tulpa, or who were not a tulpa, that contributed a great deal to this forum.  They are not polluting the purity of tulpamancy somehow or "encroaching" by their presence here. Such an assertion, that a soulbond is encroaching where he or she does not belong, is asinine.  It is just blatant bigotry.  Their presence as members is very valuable and adds to the experience experience knowledge of the membership.

However, it also appears tulpa.info is being co-opted by other communities, specifically those involving mental disorders (the multiplicity/D.I.D. camps, Tumblr head-mates, et cetera) and even otherkin and soulbond groups.

5.  Tulpa Info has long been influenced by the greater plurality community and many founding principles of tulpamancy practice and belief were taken directly from that community.  It has never been that tulpamancy existed within a pure vacuuum isolated from the influence of other forms of plurality.  That would be a complete hippy skippy elitist fantasy.

6. It has never been true that Tulpa Info was isolated from the members of Reddit or 4Chan or other venues.  Many members, throughout the history of this forum, have been members of each of these boards and there has always been frequent movement and communication between them.  That Tulpa Info is suddenly being invaded or co-opted by impure people from other forums is a complete paranoid fantasy.

7.  Tulpa Info never really had some sort of higher quality Golden Age.  The quality of the content knowledge on Tulpa Info has only increased with time rather than become polluted or decayed.  There was just as much shit posting, off topic content, drama posting and confusion as there ever was during 2012 through 2014.  Actually there was more of it, as there were more members active at the time during Tulpa Info's honeymoon period of being new and trendy.

8.  Bigotry and elitism are far more damaging to this forum than anything an "encroaching soulbond" might do.

(I don't know about you guys but soulbonds are so alien and scary!  You never know what those kind of people are thinking and plotting.)

Conversely, you may have noticed that we're not the kindest or healthiest bunch. Contempt and open hostility are exchanged like a kind of currency here which puts off a lot of potential members and frustrates the efforts of both casual posters and invested users.

Well I guess we know where  some of the "contempt and open hostility" is coming from don't we?  The obvious hypocrisy on display here is laughable.

I am happy to note that there has been no contempt or open hostility on the forum today, or yesterday or even the day before yesterday, or even the day before that, that I am aware of.

DOH!  Too bad, we were on a pretty good run there for a while.

Like with all forums, there are users who are unhealthy and not worth the effort communicating with.

I will try to remember this.  Maybe it would have been better if I had just let it go and ignored it?

Maybe, but you covered it a lot better than I could, and I sure feel better now. "Co-opted." Sheesh.

Also.

Sssh! Don't point that out! We're trying to integrate so we can take over, here.

I am, quite frankly, very tired of the occasional 2012 "older member" who thinks just because he or she was here when it all started, that makes them a higher authority, more pure and great, and with license to judge the quality of others and their right to be here.  Four years on a geeky internet forum and chat room writing about imaginary friends doesn't impress me that much.  Maybe if that time had been spent getting a doctorate in "Who gives a shit?" it might have been time better spent?

After the initial 4chan/M.L.P. explosion from several years ago, there was an exodus of older members some time after. As I've personally experienced, after someone successfully brings a tulpa into the world, they usually don't bother to return as they're both moving on towards bigger and better things.

Many of the older members have left the forum to go on to better things.  Maybe they made the better choice than some of those who stayed because they had nothing better to do with their lives?
