After careful consideration, Envolucris has joined the moderator team. She has been consistently helping new users since she joined as well as having made efforts to un-derail several threads. Additionally, she's been helpful with reporting a few rule-breaking posts, and has previous moderation experience from other forums.

There are a few important upcoming changes that are being made, that everyone should be aware of:

  • Because the current state of the Off-Topic board promotes hostility and spammy posting, we are retiring it. A new Off-Topic board called 'Lounge' will be created, and it will be moderated by the same standards as the rest of the forums. The only rule that will not apply is, of course, the topic rule. The current Off-Topic board will be archived.

  • Reaction images will be disallowed entirely, regardless of the content of the rest of your post. This is not 4chan, and using reaction images seems to promote a quicker posting style with less thought.

  • A new 10-point warning system is being implemented. Most offenses will be 1 point, or 2 points for a few more serious offenses or too many repeat offenses. Action will be taken when you reach one of 3 warning checkpoints:
    • 3 Points: You will be banned for 1-4 weeks, depending on your offenses.

    • 6 Points: You will be banned for 1-6 months, depending on your offenses.

    • 10 Points: You will be banned permanently.

A single warning point will expire after 3 months. The rare 2 point warning will last 6 months. However, if you reach any of the 3 warning checkpoints, your warning level can no longer go below that level.

All of these changes will begin to take effect on April 24th

A PM is being sent to every member of the site to ensure that everyone will see these changes.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

The official Tulpa.info channels #advanced.info and #newbies.info on irc.tulpa.info have been closed. We feel that there was not enough discussion in either channel to warrant keeping them open, and that they only served to split activity up even further. You will no longer be able to join these channels.

However, #topic.info will remain open for all of your tulpa-related questions and discussion.
