How grown-up does your tulpa speak?

Aside from the expected gradual improvement of speech early on in development (working from one-word responses - > short sentences -> longer, more coherent/structures ones) none of the tulpas in this head exhibit what you've described. Improving 'vocality' really only requires that you regularly engage with your tulpa, and in your case encouraging discussions where he'd have to leave his conversational comfort zone and elaborate more would help.

Thank you for your advice. It's been about two weeks since I made this post, and C has grown quite a bit. I got lots of good tips, and, of course, just spending time talking to him helps a lot.

Reilyn started as a silly, lovable, precocious tween who grabbed big words out of my memories to sound older.

Then she started writing PMs to people. According to an online word counter we use sometimes, her last one was a 3700 word wrist nightmare that apparently needed at least an "eighth grade education" to read.

So.. still a silly, lovable, precocious tween who uses my memories, and digs up new big words to sound older. I have a theory related to her and this actually, but thats PR stuff.

The sentences are short and sometimes fragmented, as if just walking into the room with me in the middle of a sentence.

They feel half "me" and half "them". Semivoluntary.

I am given to understand that I sound rather like my host… that is to say that we are both rather refined in the vocabulary we favor. Hammy, I believe is the phrase. I have always been extremely vocal, it is worth mentioning. However, sometimes, my word will stumbled upon each other, a sort of mental stuttering—the cons of being a being of pure thought, I assume. -D
