Kurisutina December 22, 2019 Share December 22, 2019 Stockings isn't something I've seen people do other than Christmas hollywood movies. For me, it seems like many traditions have been getting picked up from American culture and movies. It wasn't long ago Halloween became popular over here, and Easter gradually became some sort of pseudo Halloween. People love making their dentists traumatized at least two times a year. Hello, my name is Kurisutina, but people call me Kuri. I have two headmates who I care about and a loving family to be proud and happy for. Do I need to say more? Ranger December 22, 2019 Share December 22, 2019 What does doing Christmas mean for you, Ranger? Doing Christmas for me will mean me going dormant and later waking up to Cat talking to me and our headmates after "doing Christmas" with her family. What Cat will do is a different ritual... First, after dinner (also a tradition) on Christmas Eve, everyone sits on the couch in Christmas pajamas and Cat's father reads the story "The Night Before Christmas". After that, Cat and her brother go to bed. The next morning, Cat will wake up extra early in the morning for no reason, but if she's lucky she will sleep in until 9 or whenever Cat's parents feel like doing presents. After Cat is either bored talking to her brother or waits it out, Cat's father goes downstairs to turn on the tree and then they all go downstairs. Once downstairs, they open stockings and open presents. After presents and a lot of candy, there's usually a sugary breakfast like sweet rolls or whatever no one wants tons of because everyone is sick on candy. The day is mostly Cat and her brother playing with their gifts, and then later they get ready for dinner. Cat's grandmother would come to eat dinner with Cat's family and then the normal traditions are done. This Christmas... I don't know if it will turn out like this or if this will be the last one. Cat may work Christmas day if she gets a job fast enough. That would completely change their schedule, but who knows. The only other difference is Cat's grandmother has invited herself to eat on Christmas Eve instead and Cat's mother's work friend is coming to eat with them Christmas day. Gotta embrace the Christmas food. I'm curious to what people eat for Christmas as I've heard other places like USA has very different dishes compared to Sweden. The big constant food tradition is vegetarian lasagna for Christmas Eve. It has recently changed to where it is sometimes lasagna and other times manicotti, the only difference being the shape of the pasta and the manicotti has spinach inside of it. Christmas dinner didn't really matter as much until recently when Cat's father found an expensive cut of beef on sale. Ever since, "roast beast" with mashed potatoes and gravy became a new tradition. I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron. My other headmates have their own account now. If I missed seeing your art, please PM/DM me! Kurisutina December 22, 2019 Share December 22, 2019 No, but might get an Easter tree this Easter if we manage to find an apartment before then. If not, we still have midsummer. There's obviously no practical reason for it except Matsi wants to have one because it's colorful. Hello, my name is Kurisutina, but people call me Kuri.
